Today, we join the global community in marking World Tuberculosis Day, a reminder of the ongoing fight against Tuberculosis and its impact on individuals and communities. As future Medical Laboratory Scientists, we play a key role in early detection, accurate diagnosis, and the fight to reduce its spread.

Tuberculosis remains a major public health challenge, but with awareness, timely testing, and proper treatment, it is preventable and curable. Let us continue to educate, advocate, and support efforts aimed at breaking the stigma surrounding the disease.

Together, through knowledge and action, we can contribute to a healthier society.

5 years of rigorous Medical Laboratory Science training, endless practicals, bulky materials, and late-night reading have finally paid off!

Today, we celebrate our phenomenal 500-level graduating class, The Sentinels, on their successful sign-out. Surviving the demanding journey of MLS is no small feat, and you have all shown remarkable resilience and intellectual capacity.

Officially concluded my tenure as Public Relations Officer II of NIMELSSA BUK, and I’m humbled to have been honored with the Best Social Service Award!

This journey taught me more than I could have imagined:

- Communication is power – connecting with members and stakeholders with clarity and empathy builds a strong, united community
- Small actions create big impact – every social service initiative, no matter how modest, touches lives and inspires change
- Teamwork makes the dream work – success isn’t individual; it’s the result of every member bringing their best to the table
- Adaptability is key – navigating challenges with creativity and resilience helps us deliver even when circumstances are tough
