This is to inform all concerned officers and eligible students that the Central SIWES Unit will commence the sale and distribution of official SIWES Log Books to students scheduled to participate in the 2026/2027 Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES).

The exercise will cover both Regular and Part-Time students who are due to participate in the programme.

The sale of the Log Books will commence on Monday, 28th September 2026 and will be conducted online through Remita via: https://remita.net/pay/KANOPOLY/biller

Students are advised to ensure that they select the correct service category before making payment:

- SIWES Log Book – Regular Students
- SIWES Log Book – Part-Time Students

𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Upon successful payment, students are required to:

1. Print their Remita payment receipt.
2. Present the receipt at the Bursary Department, Central Administration, for verification.
3. Proceed to the Central SIWES Unit to collect their SIWES Log Books.

Students are advised to ensure that their Log Books are properly maintained and completed throughout the period of their industrial training. They are also required to retain their proof of payment for record-keeping and verification purposes.

The Management of Kano State Polytechnic wishes to inform the general public that the Full-time and Part-time Online Application for the 2026/2027 Academic Session into various programmes in Science, Technology, Engineering, Management, and Social Sciences will commence on Monday, 10th August, 2026.

All applicants seeking admission into the National Diploma (ND) programmes must have sat for the 2026 UTME and chosen Kano State Polytechnic as their first choice.

Candidates who initially applied to other institutions but now wish to change their choice to Kano State Polytechnic should visit a designated CBT centre to change their institution of first choice to Kano State Polytechnic and thereafter proceed to complete the online application form.

Candidates with deficiencies in their Secondary School or JAMB examinations may apply for the Remedial and Basic Studies Programmes.

Furthermore, candidates seeking admission into Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes must possess an ND certificate in the relevant field and one year of post-ND work experience certificate.

Candidates seeking admission into ND programmes on a Part-Time basis must possess five (5) credits in relevant subjects. Those seeking admission into HND programmes must possess an ND certificate in the relevant course, while candidates seeking admission into Advanced Diploma Programmes must possess ND/OND certificates.

Candidates seeking admission into ND II programmes (Direct Entry) must possess OND/ND certificates from recognised TVET institutions.

This is to inform all affected ND students whose names appear on the attached list that they are required to submit their commercial bank account details to their respective departments.

It has been observed that some students provided wallet account details (such as OPay, Moniepoint, PalmPay, etc.) instead of commercial bank account details while completing their SIWES Form 8. To facilitate the payment of SIWES allowances, all affected students must submit their correct commercial bank account details on or before Wednesday, 29th July, 2026.

Students are advised to treat this notice with utmost importance, as failure to comply may delay the processing and payment of their SIWES allowances.
