Reunion 2019 done and dusted.
And the cause was to give back to the society that made us.

Together we came along, at least
for recollection of those yesteryears
from the time of our high school year
they say that year was the best

Years passed by
Different pathways we got through
Cycle of life we let it flow
Though others had bade goodbye

Photographs we had - other vanished
In hand of God some classmates were taken
We hope they rest in peace and in heaven
As one by one from earth they faded

We miss our friends
They were our classmates
They were our playmates
Some of them were your best friends

Sad to say this is the trend
But that's the part of life we live in
Reality we face this is it within
But we still continue the reunion we intend

Memories of high school years we recollect
Laugh to our young minds deed
Relive our naughtiness and crack head
Happiness are here we seek

Can we do this again?
As age is taking our mundane
How many more years to attain?
And shall we meet again?

And the legacy continues!

The Chairman's welcome address.

Good afternoon fine Ladies and gentlemen. All protocols observed.

I welcome you to our grand reunion and homecoming. It's been 10 years of being apart from each other. Today, we have returned to recreate lovely memories from our time together in Basic college kano.
Basic College, Kano is proud of its many traditions, but the one I find most exciting is our tradition of excellence. We here are all such innovative and beautiful people; doctors, solicitors, estate managers, statisticians, accountants and economists, scientists, and breakthrough businessmen and ladies.

We have achieved this because of our tradition of excellence, and we won't stop breaking new grounds.

Let me briefly tell you how it all started.

The vision for this reunion was first conceived by our very own, Polit Edward who went ahead and created an online forum for us to meet, deliberate and birth this event. A committee was raised and was tasked with planning a great reunion for us. They worked tirelessly, sacrificing time and resources, attending emergency online meetings that stretched well into the night. Today, we have a reunion, and I know we'll all have fun.

I appreciate the Reunion Planning Committee members. Your efforts have been tremendous. I appreciate everyone who contributed financially towards the success of this reunion. We wouldn't have had a reunion without you. Thank you all.

We have put in place all you need to have a great time in the ancient city of Kano. Welcome home. Feel free amongst your friends and classmates. Have fun and return back to your various destinations with pleasant memories of today. May God bless your presence here, and your journey back home. Amen.

🍻Welcome and many thanks fellow time travellers. By sheer willpower, commitment, and your generous support, we have rolled back the calendar to 2008. We could not recreate every memory, but we have recreated what makes us thick; LOVE AND FRIENDSHIP.

We appreciate your commitment and lively spirit throughout the time this reunion was being planned. We salute all present for the sacrifices you made to be here.

Perhaps when next we embark on a voyage in time-back to our secondary school days, we shall have a more expansive gathering to accommodate our husbands and our wives, our children and our well wishers.

Until then, may God grant you all journey mercies back to your various destinations. We shall meet again!!

🗣 OPENING SPEECH

10years have passed,
I appreciate God and you for giving me the opportunity presenting the Opening speech on this FIRST GRAND REUNION

Being your class prefect for a long period of time during our secondary school days and the great opportunity of leading the class to this moment.
Thank you for considering me as a Leader of the class and also cooperating with me.

To the organizing committee in persons of Comr Sulleyman Suleiman Umar, Yahaya Homotohyosy Naphysat, Mercy Tishar, Polit Edward, and Kamal Hassan, We say thank you.

Reunion has come to stay. We will have it every year and in grand style for every three years.

We are called henceforth to care for each other, look out for each other and Even hangout out with each other.

We will go to the top of the ladder very soon but we need each other to make it possible.

For as many that have mourned during the last ten(10)years ; Receive our condolences and please take heart.

For the people that have celebrated and still celebrating; Congratulations.

For as many that have denied themselves to be here with us for no reason, It is well, I hope you grow very soon!

To people that travel far and near to participate in this first grand reunion; Una be men, unaware wey understand the concept of friendship
