This activity was a beautiful one 💛
Watching the children’s excitement and curiosity at every step of planting their seeds was truly heartwarming.
The little questions, the careful hands, the joy in something so simple
Moments like this remind us that learning is not just in books.
It’s in experiences like these that stay with them.

Homework time can be tricky for children and parents alike.
Sometimes, without realizing it, our habits can make learning harder instead of easier.
💛 We all want our children to succeed, but sometimes letting them try, guiding instead of rushing, and praising effort can make the biggest difference.
Parents, which of these habits have you noticed in yourself before? Hope this serves as a reminder for us.

Every child learns best where they feel safe.
Safe to ask questions.
Safe to try.
Safe to make mistakes.
Safe to be themselves.
Think about a child who is afraid of being laughed at, shouted at, or constantly corrected.
Instead of focusing on learning, their mind is busy protecting itself.
But when a child feels heard, respected, and encouraged, something beautiful happens.
They raise their hands more.
They try again even when something is difficult.
They speak with confidence.
They enjoy coming to school.
At First Grade Comprehensive School, we believe education is not only about books and grades.
It is also about creating an environment where children feel valued, supported, and confident to grow.
💛 Dear parents, think back to your own childhood.
Did you learn better with teachers who made you feel safe and encouraged?
We would love to hear your thoughts.
As a child, if you didn’t play with clay, you really missed out 😅
The feeling of it in your hands, shaping it, creating something from scratch… core memories.
In this computer age, simple things like this have quietly taken a back seat.
But we still believe outdoor, hands on play plays a powerful role in a child’s development.
It builds creativity, patience, confidence and joy.
That is what we intentionally expose our children to at First Grade.
Not just screens. Not just books.
But real experiences. Real textures. Real fun.
The best of both worlds 🤍
