Good day dear friends and family. It has taken a lot of endurance for me to resort to posting this matter on a public space for both record and reference purposes.

I have covered the name of the issuer of this receipt attached herewith as a honour to who the landlord might be (maybe a security agent or public office holder). I am a new resident of Abuja. I moved in from Kano with my luggage. Prior to my relocation, I had came to collect receipt of payment of rent which is attached in this post. The landlord instructed his son to issue the receipt so the issuing was done in his presence and the presence of someone (that i could refer to as a witness).

At the first instance of issuance, I identified an error (at a slight glance) of the amount written; the sum of 250k was written instead of 500k. I did not actually bother to scrutinize the receipt because the person i went together with had told me the landlord was of good character and that he was his church member, this was also confirmed by another person (to whom I paid the agent fee to). I immediately brought the error in the amount to the landlord’s notice and then the landlord asked his son to re-issue another receipt which is this particular one attached and it was given to me to sign of which I just signed it without having to look at it again. I decided to clean up the room and lock it so that I can go back to Kano to bring my luggage. As I was about cleaning up the room, the landlord came back himself, knocked on my door to tell me that there was also another error in the duration of the payment. The rent was to cover for 2years that is from 01/04/2025 to 01/04/2027 but the receipt carried 01/04/2025 to 01/042026, So the landlord asked me to effect the correction and he left. I couldn’t effect the correction immediately and I did not eventually as I thought that being it an official document it may not be proper to mutilate it. I would not want to go into more details for now.

I am a teacher. I resigned from my place of work at a school in Kano where i taught Mathematics for over five (5) solid years. When I was moving to Abuja finally, someone who apparently does not know his whereabouts boarded same car with me from the park (Kano line). I was not comfortable with his behavior and discussion in the cause of the journey. The moment I saw him bringing something out of his bag in a fearful manner, I began to shiver profusely and by this time we were just three passengers left; one in front with the driver and both of us were at the back seat and as soon as i told him i would let him stay at my place to pass the night so that he can find his way the next day, he returned whatsoever it was that he brought out from the bag. When we got to Galadima, the passenger infront was to highlight the vehicle, I ceased the opportunity and went to the nearest police station to report my inconveniences, the police helped accompanied me to bring down my luggage then I took another cap to my destination, with the help of the witness guy because I called him and pleaded with him to come over.

Since I came to Abuja, at first, I have been under heavy stalking. Surprisingly, as of this moment, every email of my salary alerts from Zenith bank (france road branch) that could link me to my former place of work in Kano has been deleted from my yahoo mail and i am sure i did not delete them myself. It feels like i am under heavy and unnecessary surveillance by unidentified persons and this really has tortured me emotionally. I have been greatly distressed.

The landlord whom I was told initially was a member of Ecwa church have been spotted identifying with the Catholic faithfuls as a Catholic. I do not know why the mix up in his place of worship actually. Measures have been taken to render me jobless and financially incapacitated of which GOD ALMIGHTY has helped me to overcome. Some persons go to my potential employers to ‘blackmail’ me with falsehoods and lies just to spoil my chances of an employment and also, efforts have been made to get hold of my phone because they believe it could contain proofs of my claims. My apartment has not been spared too because they enter my apartment in my absence.

I would not want to go into details for now. There are more stories and explanations to all these but the reason I am coming out publicly now is because in recent times, i have been passing by some of my secondary school mates in ‘strategic’ positions and traces of claims that I am having psychiatric issues are presently being claimed. Deliberate acts have been carried to cause me to live in panic and distress. This is not good at all. I fear for the safety of my life and i fear a huge and dubious setup under way for me.

For the record, my records are clean. I have never been involved in any criminal act of any sort; not before now, not now and never tomorrow by GOD’S grace. I do not know the calibre of a person my landlord is nor the power he is wielding or the influence my former employer would have in Abuja but I know for sure that i am a citizen with rights which i am not ready to give it up and i will want to, by all means, “prevent Nigeria to happen to me”.
