We officially unveiled Tech with Heart, the handbook that came out of the Build-Tech project by Hadis Foundation and I had the opportunity to join the panel discussion and share some of our experience from taking the learning into our communities.

One thing this project reminded me of is that conversations around technology don't always have to start with technology. Sometimes, they start with a parent asking, “How do I keep my child safe online?” or someone simply trying to understand how to navigate this digital world better.

That’s what made this project special for me.

I attended a 2-day training on gender-based violence hosted by Hadis Foundation … and I don’t think I left the same way I came.

At some point, we had to act.

Not just act—but step into the lives of survivors.
To feel the silence. The fear. The confusion. The weight of not being believed.

And honestly… it didn’t feel like acting.

It felt real. Too real.

Because the truth is, for many people, this isn’t a script.
This is their everyday life.

You start to understand how easy it is to judge from the outside—
“Why didn’t she leave?”
“Why didn’t he speak up?”

But when you step into those shoes, even briefly… you realize it’s never that simple.

There’s fear.
There’s shame.
There’s dependence.
There’s hope that things might change.

This training didn’t just teach me—it shifted me.

It reminded me that empathy is not optional.
That listening matters.
That creating safe spaces matters.

And that sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do… is believe someone.

Thank you so much for the recommendation Fareed Kamal Ibrahim 🙏

Camera rolling… ACTION 🎬

At this point, we’re ready for Kannywood, Hollywood, Bollywood… in fact, any wood😄—just call us!

Okay okay… jokes aside.

This was a drama presentation we performed during a Gender-Based Violence program hosted by Hadis Foundation.

In the story, I played a young girl who was harassed by her brother’s friend. When I tried to speak up, my brother didn’t listen, he dismissed me and shifted the blame instead. Like many real-life situations, I was left feeling unheard and isolated.

Things changed when my teacher noticed I wasn’t myself in class. She created a safe space for me to open up, listened without judgment, and supported me in reporting the case to community elders.

This performance reflects a reality many people face. And it’s important to say this clearly, gender-based violence does not affect women alone, men and boys can also be victims. Everyone deserves to be heard, protected, and supported.
