Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University receives a delegation from Bayero University Guest House Limited as part of efforts to establish institutional relationship and explore areas of mutual collaboration.
The delegation was led by Professor Ibrahim Datti and the Managing Director Salisu Adam Na’ibi and were received by the Registrar on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor.
Professor Ibrahim expressed appreciation for the warm reception accorded to his team and explained that tye purpose of the visit was to introduce the services of Bayero University Guest House Limited and seek a productive working relationship with the University.
Responding on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Registrar expressed sincere appreciation to the delegation for the thoughtful visit and welcomed their proposal. He noted that KHAIRUN remains committed to partnerships that will support institutional growth and improve service delivery.

KHAIRUN Records Major Milestone as NUC Grants Full Accreditation to Three Academic Programmes
Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, has achieved another remarkable milestone following the grant of Full Accreditation by the National Universities Commission (NUC) to three of its academic programmes in the field of Computing.
According to an official letter dated 7th April, 2026, signed by the Executive Secretary of the NUC, the accreditation exercise conducted in October/November 2025 approved the following programmes with Full Accreditation Status:
1. Computer Science
2. Cyber Security
3. Software Engineering
Full accreditation by the NUC signifies that these programmes have met the required national standards in curriculum content, staffing, infrastructure, learning resources, and overall academic delivery. It also confirms that the accredited status remains valid for a period of five years.
The Management of KHAIRUN expressed profound gratitude to the Proprietor, Governing Council, Vice-Chancellor, staff, students, and all stakeholders whose dedication and support contributed immensely to this success.
This development further strengthens KHAIRUN’s position as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising private universities committed to producing skilled graduates in technology-driven disciplines that are vital to national development.

KHAIRUN Vice Chancellor Hosts ANCOPSS Leadership, Advocates Stronger Commitment to Educational Development
The Vice Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Professor Abdulrashid Garba today received members of the All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) during a courtesy visit to his office.
Speaking during the visit, the President of the association, Hajiya Uwani Ahmad Balarabe, expressed profound appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended to the delegation by the Vice Chancellor. She commended the university leadership for its openness and commitment to engaging stakeholders in the education sector.

Professor Aliyu S. Kantudu earned recognition as charter member of a national professional body on university rankings, following his outstanding performance in a highly competitive nationwide training programme focused on global university visibility.
Professor Aliyu S. Kantudu, a valued member of Khairun Consultancy Service Limited (KCSL), recorded an exceptional score of 43,835, placing him at the forefront of participants and underscoring his expertise and commitment to advancing institutional visibility on the global stage.
The recognition followed the successful completion of a six-week intensive training titled “Mastering University Rankings for Global Visibility,” jointly organised by the Virtual Institute for Capacity Building in Higher Education (VICBHE), the National Universities Commission (NUC), the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), and the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund). The programme, which ran from 17 February to 31 March 2026, brought together top academics across the country to build capacity in strategic ranking methodologies and international best practices.
This remarkable achievement not only highlights Professor Kantudu’s academic excellence but also reflects positively on Khairun Consultancy Service Limited and its growing contribution to higher education development and global competitiveness.

KHAIRUN Explores Strategic Partnership with Abdullahi Mai Masallaci Foundation
The management of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University, Kano (KHAIRUN), led by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, paid a courtesy visit to the Abdullahi Mai Masallaci Foundation on Saturday, April 25, 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional collaboration and community development initiatives.
During the visit, the Managing Director of the Foundation, Dr. Kabiru Uba Ibrahim, warmly received the KHAIRUN delegation and expressed his delight at hosting the university. He appreciated the Vice-Chancellor for initiating the visit and considering the Foundation as a strategic partner.
Dr. Ibrahim provided a brief history of the foundation, as well as insights into the legacy of the late Alhaji Uba Ibrahim Ringim. He highlighted the foundation’s ongoing efforts in educational and community services and outlined key areas where collaboration with KHAIRUN would be impactful.
Notably, he appealed for the university’s support in transforming the foundation’s Waqf Library from an analogue system into a modern digital and automated library. He also proposed the establishment of a training section within the foundation’s premises, utilizing available classrooms and spaces, which could be equipped with modern facilities to enhance learning and capacity development.
Dr. Ibrahim concluded by expressing the foundation’s readiness to formalize the partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), emphasizing their commitment to a mutually beneficial collaboration.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdulrashid Garba, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah (SWT) for the opportunity to rekindle the longstanding relationship between the families of the late Khalifa Sheikh Isyaku Rabiu and the late Alhaji Uba Ibrahim Ringim.
He gave a brief overview of KHAIRUN, highlighting its rapid development and achievements, all rooted in the enduring legacy of its founder, the late Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu. The Vice-Chancellor reaffirmed the University’s commitment to meaningful partnerships and assured the foundation of KHAIRUN’s readiness to collaborate.

The workshop, centered on “Outreach Counselling and Remedial Intervention,” brought together seasoned experts and professionals to deepen the capacity of counsellors in addressing contemporary student needs. The sessions were facilitated by distinguished scholars from Bayero University, Kano—Professor Ahmad Iliyasu and Professor Kabiru Dungurawa—both highly experienced authorities in the field of guidance and counselling, and certified members of the Counselling Association of Nigeria (CASSON). Their wealth of knowledge, practical insights, and engaging delivery provided participants with valuable strategies for effective outreach and intervention.
Declaring the workshop open, the Vice-Chancellor of KHAIRUN, Professor Abdulrashid Garba emphasized the University’s dedication to nurturing not just the intellectual growth of students, but also their emotional and psychological well-being. Shariff Bello Ahmad Banyu, Sarkin Sharifan Gwale, has presented two legendary copies of the Holy Qur’an to the Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (Khairun), in a remarkable gesture that reflects deep reverence for faith and heritage.
