AZMAN University Hosts 3rd Meeting of the Forum of Vice-Chancellors of Private Universities in Kano State

Kano, Nigeria – June 3, 2026

AZMAN University, Kano, on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, hosted the 3rd meeting of the Forum of Vice-Chancellors of Private Universities in Kano State (FVCPUK).

The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, brought together Vice-Chancellors and representatives of private universities across Kano State.

The meeting was hosted by the Vice-Chancellor of AZMAN University, Prof. Fatima B. Mukhtar, and was attended by Prof. Ajith Kumar V. V., Vice-Chancellor of Skyline University Nigeria, Kano, Prof. A. I. Tanko, Vice-Chancellor of Baba Ahmed University, Kano, Prof. Abdulrashid Garba, Vice-Chancellor of Khalifa Isyaku Rabiu University (KHAIRUN), Kano, Prof. Mohammad Israr, Vice-Chancellor of Maryam Abacha American University of Nigeria (MAAUN), Kano, Prof. Yusuf Bala Daraja, Vice-Chancellor of Capital City University, Kano, and Prof. Abdulhadi S. Kumurya, Vice-Chancellor of Al-Istiqama University, Sumaila.

Also in attendance were Muhammad S. Aminu, representing the Vice-Chancellor of Elrazi Medical University, Kano, Aminu Ibrahim Lawan, Registrar of Azman University, Kano, Musa Nadabo of Skyline University Nigeria, Kano and other university officials.

The Forum’s meeting was successfully hosted by AZMAN University, providing an opportunity for members and representatives of private universities in Kano State to meet and engage within the framework of the Forum’s activities.

The meeting concluded after the scheduled proceedings.

AZMAN UNIVERSITY KANO JOINS STEM & IP TRAINING WORKSHOP 18TH MAY, 2026.

Azman University Kano proudly participated in the One-Day Training on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and Intellectual Property (IP) Training held on 18th May, 2026, organized by NOTAP in collaboration with Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil.

The workshop focused on empowering female students and staff through innovation, creativity, and intellectual property awareness, while promoting technological advancement and academic excellence.

Azman University remains committed to supporting initiatives that inspire learning, innovation, and women empowerment in STEM related fields.
