A Memorable Leadership Session

Today, the Ilorin Emirate Students Union (IESU), ADUSTECH Wudil Chapter, under the leadership of Comrade Abdulfatai Abdulmueez, had the privilege of hosting three distinguished former leaders:

- Sheikh Umar Suleiman (Shohibul Bayan) – President (2023/2024)
- Abdulmajid Awodi – Former Secretary General, PRO, and dedicated union leader

OFFICIAL CONDOLENCE MESSAGE

The leadership and entire members of the Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union (ADUSTECH Chapter) received with deep sorrow and heavy hearts the news of the passing of our revered father, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, [Sheikh Dr. Muhammad soliu Bashir OON] (May Allah have mercy on him).

Indeed, Innā lillāhi wa innā ilayhi rājiʿūn.

The late Chief Imam of Ilorin was a pillar of wisdom, a symbol of humility, and a true servant of Allah (SWT). He was not only a religious leader but also a father figure to all, whose guidance, kindness, and exemplary character positively impacted students in general and the entire Ilorin Emirate community at large.

Whenever the Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union was in need, he stood firmly as a father, listening to our concerns and offering support without hesitation. His words of advice, prayers, and encouragement played a vital role in strengthening our union and inspiring many students to uphold good character, discipline, and unity.

We have indeed lost a great scholar, a role model, and a compassionate leader whose legacy of service to Islam, education, and humanity will continue to live on.

On behalf of the entire Ilorin Emirate Students’ Union, ADUSTECH Chapter, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Ilorin Emirate Council, and the entire Muslim Ummah.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him mercy, illuminate his grave, and admit him into Al-Jannatul Firdaus. May Allah also grant his family and the entire Ilorin Emirate the fortitude to bear this great loss.

Āmīn.
