WEEKEND TIPS.
As you try to review the first week of resumption and the activities; Kindly glance through the following tips, you might find some of them helpful, if not all.
> The Law of first impression:
It takes a couple of days for your Learners to form ideas about you. Be careful and deliberate about it.

> Be organised and guide the pupils to keep the class clean and tidy; this starts with your table and corner.

> The journey to a pressure-free and memorable session depends on your ability to establish confidence and healthy rapport with your Learners. Ensure you do that and well.

> Introduce yourself to parents through daily communication booklet if you have not.

> Keep your line of communication with parents open, polite and professional.

> Avoid Labelling your Learners ( name calling- big head, fat cat ).

> Respect your learners and their feelings. Listen, you are there because they are important.

> Evade the temptation to engage in gossip with colleagues in the presence of your students.

> Be a good role model to your Learners in speech, conduct and comportment.

> Set classroom guide rules with your pupils, not for them. It helps their commitment to follow the rules.

> Guide them to obey general school rules.

> Share leadership roles equitably, without bias.

> Position your workspace where you can maintain eye contact with all of them. Non verbal cues are very important in your relationship with your Learners.

> No child should be on your blindspot.

> Teach them to develop good sense of responsibility by being accountable to them.

> Accountability is both ways, as they seek permission to leave the class; do let your Learners know your whereabout and keep to time. If you tell them 5 minutes, keep it at 5mins. Should you take more time, let them know why.

Keep your mobility at the lowest point and ensure a competent and trustworthy stay in, while away.

> Do not make bogus (fake) requisition; from the procurement department. Teachers are expected to be credible.

> Use school supplies strictly for official purposes. Help build the organisation.

> Be a good, credible and accountable manager of all deployed resources ( both human and material ) in 2020/2021 Academic session.
