No extension for schools resumption dates in Kano - MOE

The attention of the Kano state ministry of Education has been drawn of a widely circulated romour that the resumption dates to schools from the 3rd term vacation has been extended by one week.

This romour was cooked by some elements who always want create confusion in the minds of the parents and guardians when ever an end of vacation or break time is approaching to an end.

Parents and guardians of pupils and student of Public and Private Primary and post primary schools in the state should therefore note that the resumption dates for boarding schools remained Sunday 11th September while that for the Day schools is 12th September 2022 respectively.

While thanking the parents and guardians for their supports and cooperations, the ministry is urging them to ensure compliance with the resumption dates as penalty awaits defaulters.

Kano declares Monday work free day to mark New Islamic Year

Kano state government has declared Monday, August 1, 2022 as work-free day to mark the beginning of 1445 Islamic (Hijrah) New Year.

Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, in a statement signed by the commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, therefore, congratulated all Muslims in the state on the spiritual significance of the occasion that also calls for self assessment.

He called on them to use the holiday to seek Allah’s forgiveness, and pray for His intervention to salvage the nation from the lingering security challenges and improvement in the general wellbeing and progress of the state and the country in general.

The governor assured residents of his administration's readiness to assiduously continue to deliver on its promise to improving their living standard through ex*****on of people-oriented programmes and projects.

The statement also urged those that are yet to obtain their voter’s card to do so in order to be able to exercise their franchise in the forthcoming general elections.

The first lunar month of the New Islamic Year, Muharram, commences on Saturday, July 30, 2022.

The Kano state government has awarded the construction of Kawo road with asphalt laying and drainage system on both sides. We pray for quick and rapid work.
As a school, we intend to work on some of our classrooms and provide more teaching aids to help our pupils. We look forward to working with our parents for financial and material support.

The cold season is here again, please parents should ensure that they get a thick cardigan or sweater for their children. In case of feverish conditions, please take your child to the nearest hospital and avoid self medications. Avoid drug 💊 abuse.

Secure your child at home by ensuring the entrance gate is locked 🔑 always.

To our parents/ teachers please avoid unnecessary journeys this season. The roads are not safe especially Abuja- Kaduna road. Kidnappers are much on that route.
