MY WEDDING NIGHT Episode 2

Finally, our wedding day arrived. It was a beautiful ceremony filled with love, laughter, and the presence of God. As I walked down the aisle, my heart was filled with joy and hope. I was ready to embark on this new journey with Michael, the man I believed God had blessed me with.

The reception was a blur of happiness, a celebration of our union. Family and friends surrounded us, and the air was filled with music and laughter. I couldn't have been happier. As the night came to a close, we retired to our hotel room, ready to start our life together.
That’s when everything changed.

As soon as the door closed behind us, Michael’s demeanor shifted. He pulled out a bottle of liquor from his bag and took a long swig. I was shocked. This was not the Michael I knew. He had always been so careful about his appearance and behavior, especially around alcohol.
“Michael, what are you doing?” I asked, my voice trembling.
He laughed, a sound that sent chills down my spine. “Relax, Precious. It’s just a drink.”

I stood there, frozen, as he continued drinking. The man I had prayed with, the man who had spoken so passionately about serving God, was now unrecognizable. My heart shattered as I watched him transform before my eyes.

The night only got worse. Michael, now visibly drunk, started acting aggressively. He revealed a stash of drugs hidden in his bag and began using them. I was horrified. How had I missed this? How had the man I thought I knew so well been hiding such a dark secret?

Tears streamed down my face as I confronted him. “Michael, why? Why didn’t you tell me?”

He looked at me with hollow eyes, the man I loved now a stranger. “You wouldn’t have understood. I needed an escape.”

An escape. The words echoed in my mind. All those times he had seemed distant, all those missed prayer meetings it all made sense now. Michael had been struggling, and I had been blind to it.

That night, as he lay passed out, I cried out to God. I felt betrayed, confused, and heartbroken. How could this be happening? I had prayed so fervently for our future, for our marriage. Now, on our wedding night, I was faced with a reality I never could have imagined.

In the days that followed, I sought counsel from our church leaders. They supported me, offering prayers and guidance. Michael entered a rehabilitation program, and I prayed for his recovery every day. It was a long and painful journey, but I held onto my faith, trusting that God had a plan, even in the midst of this trial.

My wedding night was not the fairytale I had imagined. It was a night of harsh reality, of facing the hidden darkness in someone I loved deeply. But it was also a night that strengthened my faith and my resolve. I learned that even in the most unexpected and painful moments, God is with us, guiding us through.

Michael’s journey to recovery was difficult, and our marriage faced many challenges. But through it all, I never stopped praying, never stopped believing in the power of God’s love to heal and restore. And in time, Michael found his way back to the man I had fallen in love with, the man who loved God and wanted to serve Him.

Our story is not perfect, but it is a testimony to the power of faith, love, and redemption. And it all began on a night that I will never forget my wedding night.

Moral Lesson
Love and faith are tested in the most unexpected ways. It's crucial to truly know and understand the person you choose to spend your life with, beyond the surface appearances. Even when faced with betrayal and heartache, unwavering faith and perseverance can lead to healing and redemption. God’s presence and guidance remain constant, even in the darkest moments. Through prayer and support, it’s possible to overcome trials and rebuild trust and love.

In life, never say am a child of God and neglect the place of prayer. and sensitivity in the spirit. The devil is out there, looking for whom to devour. The bible says if you think you stand, take heed lest you fall. Stay away from friends that can lure you into ungodliness, Because there might not be a second chance.
For those who are seeing this and in this situation, God is waiting for you to come back to Him like brother Michael. Repent and retrace your footstep back to God.

Efe was a 25 years old Edo lady, full of life and beauty both inside and outside, she sells Akara in Oshodi market in Lagos. Efe has Eight female and two male staffs who works at her two in one shop. She is very kind and down to earth. Her workers treat her like a queen, even though she is older than some of them.

It all started in her second year in school when she has to drop out of school because of her parents sudden death. She struggled to move to third year but it wasn't easy. So many people tried to make her compromise her principles and faith but Efe knowing the foundation her parents has laid for her and her younger brother, refused to be a pone in the hands of the devil.

Efe dropped out of school so that she can take good care of her brother. All she now care for is how they can feed, after seeing how her uncles and aunts abandoned them and care less about their situation. Efe decided to take responsibility for herself and her brother. She sold all that was in the house her parents rented remaining bed and some cooking items. After few days of search she got a small room that pays less to live in with her brother. From what she sold she was able to also start an Akara business with her brother assisting her in attending to customers.

After some months, she sent her brother back to school and decided to manage with the business but only to discover that she couldn't handle the customers alone, so she employed a helping hand. Two months later Efe decided to add pap, pan cake, corn cake to her Akara business, and with the help of her male friend who advice her to get a shop and add packaging, she was able to win more customers.
Efe now controls customers as if she charmed them or added something special to the food but no, it was her unique smile and customer relationship skill that drew them. She was not just hard working but also compassionate and full of empathy.

A year has gone by and Efe can now sit in her small Executive chair in her shop and control her finance while her workers do every other thing. One day, her brother called her and said Sis. you need to go back to school. How long will you keep staying at the shop. I am done with my Secondary school let my handle the shop while you go to school, after all you are a woman. So, she accepted to go back to school but the brother will have to take jamb and join her after a year. They got one of the staffs whom the trusted to handle the finance while they employed another person to replace him.

Glory to God, Efe has graduated with a first class in business Administration and her brother medicine and Surgery, Efe decided to run her masters immediately. When she got home after her last project, she got a call to come to an eatery, she went because the call was from her brother. When Efe stepped in, what she saw shocked her. Her financial secretary who happened to be her male friend that advice her to add packaging to the food, happened to be a graduate of finance. He got a job in United States after they graduated. He was back but this time to marry Efe.

It was a beautiful sight to behold, all the decorations, music and people. Efe who knows how the young man has sacrificed 5 years working for them despite being a graduate was filled with emotions but that was not a reason it say Yes to the proposal. So at that point she closed her eyes, counted to ten and while communing with God, Opened her mouth and said Yes. Everybody was already expecting a no because of how she was shaking her head. Then the biggest surprise shocked Efe to the bone marrow when she was told by her soon to be husband that He has bought that eatery for her and has put in everything she needs. Efe couldn't hold her tears, she cried like a baby. Can life be so beautiful. Remembering how she sold akara and at a point hawked it whenever it was remaining before she started having customers. Hmmmm what a strange world.

Beloved, you don't have parents, or your parents are poor is not an excuse to become backward in life. Poverty, Death, born out of wedlock or any situation doesn't define who you will become. You are solely responsible for who you become in life. God has a purpose for everyone of us and its for glory to glory but who determines the fulfilment of that glory is no other person than you.

THE GIANT'S ECONOMY (NIGERIA)

Nigeria, Giant of Africa, a land of gold and green,
Rich in resources, a potential unseen.
Oil-blackened rivers, fertile plains so wide,
Yet, shadows of poverty, a nation's tide.

A symphony of hustle, spirit unchained,
Entrepreneurs rising, where hope is sustained.
Markets bustling, vibrant and alive,
But shadows of corruption, where dreams can't survive.

Inflation's tempest, a currency's plight,
Youthful minds yearning, for a future bright.
Infrastructure crumbling, a nation's despair,
Leaders' promises, lost in the air.

A paradox of plenty, amidst want and need,
A call to action, a nation to lead.
With unity and purpose, we'll rise as one,
Nigeria's potential, beneath the sun.

Let's harness our strength, with wisdom and grace,
Build a strong economy, for every race.
A future of prosperity, where all can thrive,
Nigeria's spirit, forever alive.
This is Nigeria, the Giant of Africa.
