RESOLUTIONS OF DAF'S 23RD CONGRESS

The Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum (DAF) today Sunday 16th August 2026, held its 23rd congress meeting at Dawakin Tofa Special Primary School. After the review of its activities from January to date, receipt of updates on educational activities among others, the Forum has reached the following key decisions.

1. Acknowledged the government's efforts of improving the condition of education at basic level especially by the recent recruitment of teachers and renovation of dilapidated blocks. It advised the government to prioritize schools with special needs in the posting of the newly recruited teachers.

2. Reiterated its earlier plan to organize the maiden edition of Dawakin Tofa Heroes Day to honour our fallen heroes who contributed to the development of education and other critical sectors in Dawakin Tofa Local Government.

3. Constituted a committee to investigate the condition of the sponsored students by Dist. Sen. Barau Jibrin and Dawakin Tofa Local Government at Federal University Dutsin-Ma and recommend solutions. The committee comprises the following:
a. Malam Ali Ahmad- Chairman
b. Dr. Tijjani Yahaya - Member
c. Malam Saifullahi Haladu - Member
d. Dr. Aliyu Sani Shawai - Secretary

4. Resolved to appoint Coordinators that will serve as DAF liaison officers in their respective institutions.

5. Reaffirmed its initial resolution of collaborating with any stakeholder in advancing education in Dawakin Tofa Local Government at all levels.

6. Agreed to hold the 2nd Dawakin Tofa Education Summit. The Exco was mandated to form a committee that would organize the summit.

7. DAF to initiate a welfare program for the children of the deceased members and other orphans.

Ƙungiyar Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum (DAF) ta gudanar da ganawa da shugabannin Dawakin Tofa Journalist Forum (DTJF), inda ɓangarorin biyu s**a tattauna kan hanyoyin haɗa ƙarfi da ƙarfe domin inganta harkokin ilimi a Ƙaramar Hukumar Dawakin Tofa.

A yayin ganawar, shugabannin ƙungiyoyin sun bayyana muhimmancin haɗin gwiwa tsakanin masana ilimi da kafafen yaɗa labarai wajen wayar da kan al'umma, ƙarfafa ilimi, da tallafa wa matasa wajen cimma burinsu na ilimi.

Bangarorin biyu sun amince da kafa ingantaccen haɗin gwiwa wanda zai mayar da hankali kan shirya ayyuka da shirye-shiryen da za su taimaka wajen bunƙasa ilimi, wayar da kan al'umma kan muhimmancin karatu, da kuma tallafa wa ɗalibai a faɗin Ƙaramar Hukumar Dawakin Tofa.

Haka kuma, an bayyana cewa wannan haɗin gwiwa zai samar da kyakkyawar alaƙa tsakanin malamai, 'yan jarida da sauran masu ruwa da tsaki domin ciyar da ilimi gaba tare da samar da ci gaba mai ɗorewa ga al'ummar Dawakin Tofa.

Mahalarta taron sun nuna ƙwarin gwiwa cewa wannan mataki zai zama ginshiƙi na samar da sabbin shirye-shirye da za su amfani ɗalibai da al'ummar yankin baki ɗaya.

Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum -DAF had a meeting with the leadership of Dawakin Journalist Forum. Both forums agreed to establish a strong collaboration for the development of education in Dawakin Tofa Local Government.

Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum -DAF paid another courtesy visit to the Kano State Accountant General, Hajiya Jamila Magaji Abdullahi. We have deliberated on how to collaborate for the development of education in Dawakin Tofa Local Government. During the visit, we presented a Letter of Appreciation in recognition of her recent schools intervention program.

The leadership of Dawakin Tofa Academic Forum -DAF today paid a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Chairman Kano State Sport Commission, Alhaji Muhammad Tukur Babangida. We used the opportunity to congratulate him and pray for a successful tenure. Alhaji Babangida is a seasoned sport administrator that previously served as Chairman Kano Pillar Football Club.
