Dear beloved Parents,
School is resuming soon and I want to ask you for favour:
1. Sit with your child for some minutes and explain to him/her the benefits of obeying school rules and regulations, as *charity they say begins at home*.
2.Teach them the importance of greeting, not just their teacher/school staff but their friends as well.
3. Let them know that kindness and respect breeds the same. You get what you give.
*To be nice doesn't cost a thing*.
4. Tell them that thereโs no reason to make fun of someone for their height, their weight, their skin tone, their home life or the things they enjoy. *Mockery and body shaming is a crime.*
5. Explain that thereโs nothing wrong with wearing the same shoes every day. As *fingers are not equal*.
6. Let them know that a used or borrowed backpack carries the same dreams as a new one.
7. Teach them not to exclude anyone for *"being different"*. It is stigmatization and traumatic.
8. Explain to them that teasing hurts and that *school is for going to LEARN, NOT to compete or spread negativity*. It is called bullying and not permitted, it attracts severe punishment.
9. Remind them that some kids donโt go home to loving families, so *itโs important to be kind*.
10. Incompleting assignments, project and homework is a form of laziness and it a preparation to failure.
11. Not coming to school regularly is called truancy. It disrupts the learning process and causes a drag back.
12. Not informing your class teacher of an intended absence from school is an act of disrespect, indulged by parents, it has to stop.
13. Lying, stealing or taking other students property without their consent should not be encouraged. *Dear Parents, discourage it.*
14. Parents, stop allowing students to bad mouth their teachers/staff in your presence.
*That is the foundation of disrespect.*
**It all starts at home!**
Involvement in any of these tells a lot about the parents and homes where the child comes from.
*Dear parents, take action!*
May God Almighty bless our children and brighten their future.
