Role of Coaches on Players and Students.....
In my years of coaching this beautiful game, one of the coaches I always see commitment, passion and love for volleyball is Coach Jonathan David THAJ of Succeeders/Destiny hands volleyball Academy.
Coach Thaj will commit himself to a fault for the love of this game, he has produced players from national to international level from Sabon Tasha Kaduna State Nigeria, he has mentored and tutored Coaches in Kaduna State and Nigeria. A coach that sacrifices and support his players with the needed tools to excel, The RENOVATION of this court is one of the self planned and executed projects by the coach that will impact alot in players and students of the Sabon Tasha community, Please players we should always Respect teachers, fellow students, athletes, and of course, our dedicated coaches
Today, I’m honored to tell you about a game that often goes beyond the scoreboard or the classroom the role of the coach to players and students.
A coach is not just someone who teaches us how to play a game or win a match. A true coach is a teacher, a guide, a motivator, and sometimes even a second parent. Their role is to help us grow not only as athletes or students, but as people.
In sports like volleyball, basketball, or any other game, a coach begins by teaching the fundamentals how to serve, pass, move, and communicate. But that’s only the beginning. The real magic of coaching lies in what we cannot always see: the lessons about discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.
A coach pushes us to go beyond our limits, even when we feel tired or discouraged. They remind us that success doesn’t come from talent alone, but from hard work, consistency, and belief in ourselves.
When we lose, they help us stand up again.
When we win, they remind us to stay humble.
Coaches also teach us how to work together to trust, to communicate, and to respect each other. These lessons go far beyond the court or the classroom; they become life skills we carry into our future.
But perhaps the greatest role of a coach is to see the potential in us even when we don’t see it ourselves. They light a fire within us to dream big and to chase those dreams with passion and purpose.
So today, let us take a moment to appreciate ourselves for our patience, our wisdom, and our unwavering belief in players and students. You shape not only better players and students, but better people.
To all coaches here ....your role is more powerful than you might imagine. You inspire, you guide, and you change lives.
