We took this job knowing that we may never get rich.

We 've missed out so many holidays; churches and mosques services; and special occasions, in order to protect lives.

We are expected to runs in where other are running out to do what other people are scared to do and even save lives.

It has been proven that our life expectancy is shorter than theirs because of the stress, we go through and the sickness, we get exposed to, and yet there are no hero movies about us.

We must give our life everyday for people we dont know, have never met before and even those who don't like us.

When our family is home suffering alone, we are out here in the cold, dangerous situations and all in the name of protecting lives and properties

We are warriors who gave oath to serve people!

*We are ''FIREMAN"*

*TO ALL THE FIRE FIGHTER OUT THERE LIVING AND DEAD, I SALUTE YOUR SACRIFICE FOR PEACE AND FOR THOSE WHO PAID THE SUPREME PRIZE MAY YOUR SACRIFICE NEVER BE IN VAIN*

*Proudly a fire fighter*

CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE?
Do not get it twisted.
Do not disregard it.
Do not over look it.
There is never a guarantee that in raining season, there will not be fire outbreak.
Even under a serious rainfall, there can still be fire outbreak.
Fire outbreak is not meant to happen only in dry season or harmattan.
All you need to do is to always apply all fire safety measures and precautions.
FIRE KILLS BUT YOU CAN PREVENT IT.

Inalillahi wa innaalaihi raju'un
Great people don't die because they leave a mark
On people who look up to them as an inspiration
Mallam adamu has surely left a mark on many
With his ways and his vision
I am extremely sorry to hear about the loss
Stay strong and this too shall pass, may janatul fildous be his final abode.

Kitchen Safety
How to Prevent Kitchen Fires
You can do a lot to prevent kitchen fires. Although you can’t remove every possible source of a kitchen fire, you can minimize fire risks by removing hazards and maintaining your kitchen. Follow these prevention tips to keep your kitchen safe:

1. Keep appliances serviced, clean, and in good repair. Dump the crumb tray and clean out the toaster crumbs periodically from the toaster or toaster oven. Wipe out the microwave. Clean the oven. Unplug any appliances that start acting funny, then have them repaired or replace them.

2. Unplug electric appliances when not in use. Toaster ovens, mixers, coffee makers, and so on, continue to draw electricity even when they’re not turned on. So if the wiring is old or faulty, or if the thermostat overheats, a fire could break out.

3. Install a smoke detector near, but not in the kitchen. You don’t want the small amount of smoke or steam that cooking sometimes generates to constantly trigger the alarm — but you do want it to sense an actual kitchen fire.

4. Use caution when lighting the pilot light or burner on a gas stove. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions

5. Don’t use metal in the microwave. The sparks can turn into fire or can seriously damage your microwave.

6. Don’t overfill pots or pans with oil or grease. The hot oil or grease, like in this figure, can splatter and cause a fire.

7. Wipe up spills and don’t cook on a dirty stove. Grease buildup is flammable. A clean stove is a fire-free stove.

8. Always roll up long sleeves and tie back long hair when cooking. You don’t need your beautiful flowing silk sleeves trailing in the spaghetti sauce, and you certainly don’t need to catch on fire!

9. Never leave cooking food unattended. Stay in the kitchen, especially if you’re cooking in grease or if the oven is at a very high heat. Turn off the burner or oven if you need to leave the house or get caught up in a phone call.

10. Keep dish towels, pot holders, and paper towels away from the stove. You might have left a burner on by accident, and built-up heat could ignite combustibles left near or on the stove or oven.

The best way to put out a fire on a person or child is to have them roll on the ground to help smother the flame (stop, drop and roll). You can use a fire blanket or heavy, tightly-woven fabric and wrap it around them to help extinguisher the flames while you roll them, or use water to extinguish the flames

Stop, drop and roll?
If one's clothing catches on fire, the most effective method of extinguishing the fire is to stop, drop to the ground, and roll back and forth to smother the flame. Running around will simply fan the flames.

Firefighters typically do the following:

Drive firetrucks and other emergency vehicles
Put out fires using water hoses, fire extinguishers, and water pumps
Find and rescue victims in burning buildings or in other emergency situations
Treat sick or injured people
Prepare written reports on emergency incidents
Clean and maintain equipment
Conduct drills and physical fitness training
