Hamd House Academy

Hamd House Academy Faith-based Coeducational School | Kaduna | Inspiring Change, Challenging Norms, For an Exceptional Future.

At Hamd House Academy, our dedicated and committed team will work with parents to create a high quality, stimulating learning environment that bolsters the foundation of your child’s development, growth, and overall success. This requires giving a higher priority to the concept of accountability. We all must be held accountable for the important role we play in educating the next generation. Be ins

pired, be challenged, be exceptional…These are words we pray, through the help of Allah, will motivate the children and remind them of our expectations. While focusing on how the school teaches students the basic principles of Islam to strengthen their faith and identity, we also focus on providing with them quality education in all subject areas of the curriculum. Hamd House Academy is a wonderful school where all staff members understand the sacrifice they must make to help students succeed. I believe that all students, parents, teachers, administrators, board members and the community at large must join in assuming responsibility for students’ success. All of our efforts will lead to learning opportunities that are current, challenging, relevant, and meaningful for our children. At Hamd House Academy, we aim to produce life-long learners. “Since we can’t know what knowledge will be most needed in future, it is senseless to try to teach it in advance. Instead, we should try to turn out people who love learning so much and learn so well that they will be able to learn whatever needs to be learned”. John Holt

We encourage you to become involved in school events such as our Parent Auxiliary Committee (PAC) and the many activities it will organise.I hope that you will visit our school, volunteer in different activities, attend parent-teacher conferences and request meetings when needed. I believe students learn best when they are a part of a positive and nurturing environment that involves efforts from school, home, and the community. Please join us in our efforts to provide our children with an outstanding educational experience. I look forward to working with you and your child to ensure Insha-Allah an outstanding learning experience that is second to non!

Week 4: The Final Stretch

Ramadhan is slowly coming to a close.

Over the past weeks, we reflected on sincerity, character, patience, gratitude, and trust. These lessons were never meant to stay within the pages of a journal; they were meant to shape the heart.

Now we enter the final week.

This week invites us to think about something deeper: accountability and legacy.

Every action is recorded.
Time is precious.
The people we walk with influence who we become.
And one night in these final days — Laylatul Qadr — is better than a thousand months.

But perhaps the most important question this week asks is this:

Who will you be after Ramadhan?

Week 4 of Reflections Before Iftar helps families slow down, reflect, and end the month with intention.

🌙 DAY 17 – When Things Don’t Happen Yet

Sometimes the answer is not “no.”

Sometimes it is “not yet.”

When the Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) and the companions were stopped from entering Makkah at Hudaybiyyah, it felt like disappointment.

But that delay became a turning point for Islam.
Patience often hides blessings we cannot yet see.

🌙 DAY 12 – Forgiveness

The people of Makkah once persecuted the Prophet.

Years later, when he stood victorious before them, he had the power to take revenge.

Instead, he said:
“You are free.”

Forgiveness is not weakness.
It is strength guided by mercy.

Is there someone you need to release this Ramadhan?

🌙 DAY 10 – Lowering the Gaze

Islam does not teach shame.
It teaches dignity.

When a young man struggled with desire, the Prophet corrected him with wisdom, not humiliation.

What we look at shapes what we think.
What we think shapes who we become.

Ramadhan is the perfect time to guard the heart by guarding the eyes.

🌙 DAY 9 – Truthfulness

Before revelation, the Prophet was known as Al-Ameen — the trustworthy.

Imagine being known for honesty even by those who oppose you.

Truthfulness may cost comfort in the moment…
but it protects your character forever.

Would people describe you as trustworthy?

🌙 DAY 8 – Guarding the Tongue

It’s small.

But it can destroy reputations, friendships, and hearts.

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) once pointed to his tongue and warned that many people fall because of what they say.

Ramadhan is not only about controlling hunger — it is about controlling speech.

Before iftar today, pause and reflect:

Are my words building… or breaking?

🌙 DAY 7 – The Hidden Charity

The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) described a person who gives charity so secretly that even their own hand does not know what the other gave.

No spotlight.
No recognition.
Just sincerity.

Ramadhan is the month to purify intention.

What good deed can you do this week quietly?

🌙 DAY 6 – When Following Allah Costs You

Mus‘ab ibn ‘Umair (radiyallahu anhu) left behind comfort, wealth, and status for Islam.

Outwardly, he lost everything.
In reality, he gained everything.

Sincerity is proven when faith costs you something.

Would you still choose Allah if it wasn’t easy?

🌙 DAY 5 – No One Is Too Far to Return

A man who committed terrible sins still found hope.

Why?

Because Allah’s mercy is greater than any mistake.

Ramadhan is the month of return.
Not perfection.
Return.

Is there something your heart wants to come back from?

🌙 DAY 4 – When Life Becomes Difficult

Prophet Ayyub (alayhis-salam) lost his health, wealth, and comfort.

But he did not lose his trust in Allah.
Instead of complaining, he turned to Allah with humility.
Ramadhan teaches us that patience is not silence —
it is returning to Allah in every hardship.
