Madrasah: The Strike-less School!

Ile Keu; the reputable Madrasah
Only institute we're taught of Allah
And where we were before birth
And where we shall relocate thenceforth

Madrasah; the priceless school
Where we learnt on our stool
We paid our tutors close to nothing
Yet they taught us almost everything.

We were instilled with words of Allah
Hadith - Seeroh - Fiqh; after Waleemah
Therein we added sonority to our voice
And how to supplicate solemnly without noise.

We were chastised when we erred
And equally rewarded when we soared
Madrasah is a lively haven to be
It is a melange of sugar and cane.

It is the avenue we got the bravery
To stand against all adversary
And tackle every ordeal with courage
Regardless of our age and stage.

In our houses, Alfas came to call us
We would run away like throttled horse
To make us love our studies so much
They would buy snacks for us to munch.

Neither school fees nor daily due
Except a stipend once in a while
With this seemingly little or no dime
Our Madrasah never goes on strike.

What then can we offer them
Those who made us the righteous gems?
We can only beseech them peace of mind
So they receive their Kitab with Right Hand.

May Almighty Allah reward all our Mallams with Jannatul Firdaus 🤲🤲🤲

As we celebrate this great day of Eid Al-Ad'haa with our family, we pray that every act of kindness of ours - our prayers, charity, etc. - we pray Allah accepts and rewards us for them. We pray He admits us into His Jannah...protect us from Hell, punishment of the grave and the harms of this world, aameen!

Many children and youth complain that Islamic Studies is boring, while many other subjects are fun. This is what happens when you leave your children's education to that scary old man at your local Masjid who never smiles.

Be your child's first Islamic teacher and make Islam and Islamic Studies fun for them.

Do good always! Don’t ever stop doing good, even if it is not appreciated at that time.
There will be a great reward for any good deed you do consistently, InshaAllah.

The Messenger of Allah, (PBUH) has said: "When a slave falls ill or travels, then he will get reward similar to what he gets for good deeds practiced at home when in good health."

Parents hold enormous leverage in terms of what they teach their children and accordingly how their children grow up as adults. Islam, therefore hold parents responsible for steering their children’s upbringing according to the guidelines of the Quran and the Prophet’s (PBUH) traditions. The Prophet (PBUH) said: "Allah (SWT) will ask every caretaker about the people under his care, and the man will be asked about the people of his household."
