It’s no story but reality, the present socio-economic condition of our dear country which brings about excessive hunger, insufferable hardship and wistful fettle to which Nigerians are exposed. Means of subsistence is almost impossible for the masses as a result of the hike in prices of commodities, high rate of inflation, causing a pervading starvation, food scarcity and insecurity in the nation, especially the Northern region as a result of the negligence and shirking attitudes of those at the alms of affairs.
I understand that the present disconsolate condition of the nation prompts and forced the masses, especially the juvenile in making a conspicuous decision as a means to curtail the melancholic situation. The nationwide protest action as seems to be the only option to bring about positive changes, harmony and conducive atmosphere to our dear nation is a gullible decision that could result to a jinx to the country. A Muslim as known to be, an agent that promotes peace, it's so contemptible and despicable of you to be part of this action. As though it's a civil right to peaceful protest and assembly, this impassive decision may put your life, the lives of your loved ones and properties in danger.
I hereby call on teaming youths to be wary of their actions in addressing issues. The best way to curtail the present condition is for everyone to reflect on their actions and revert back to being totally submissive with sincere worship to the Almighty, and excessively pray for the peaceful coexistence of the country and becoming an agent of peace and good ambassador of Islam.
Allahu Subhanahu Wata'ala gave an example of a nation and says in (Q16:112 & 113):
An-Nahl 16:112
وَضَرَبَ ٱللَّهُ مَثَلًا قَرْيَةً كَانَتْ ءَامِنَةً مُّطْمَئِنَّةً يَأْتِيهَا رِزْقُهَا رَغَدًا مِّن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ فَكَفَرَتْ بِأَنْعُمِ ٱللَّهِ فَأَذَٰقَهَا ٱللَّهُ لِبَاسَ ٱلْجُوعِ وَٱلْخَوْفِ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَصْنَعُونَ
And Allah presents an example: a city [i.e., Makkah] which was safe and secure, its provision coming to it in abundance from every location, but it denied the favors of Allah. So Allah made it taste the envelopment of hunger and fear for what they had been doing.
An-Nahl 16:113
وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَهُمْ ظَٰلِمُونَ
And there had certainly come to them a Messenger from among themselves, but they denied him; so punishment overtook them while they were wrongdoers.
The above verses is an example on the people of Makkah. But Qur'an speaks to all. The above verses directly speaks on a similar scenario to that of our dear country, Nigeria.
Allahu Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala also says in the Glorious Qur’an (13:11):
Ar-Ra'd 13:11
لَهُۥ مُعَقِّبَٰتٌ مِّنۢ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِۦ يَحْفَظُونَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِ ٱللَّهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّىٰ يُغَيِّرُوا۟ مَا بِأَنفُسِهِمْۗ وَإِذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوٓءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥۚ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن دُونِهِۦ مِن وَالٍ
For him [i.e., each one] are successive [angels] before and behind him who protect him by the decree of Allah. Indeed, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves. And when Allah intends for a people ill, there is no repelling it. And there is not for them besides Him any patron.
My dear colleagues and most respected patriotic youth, of course the country is hard. But ease only comes from the Supreme Being (Almighty Allah), be sincere in your worship by being obedient to His Rulings and surely there shall be ease.
