One day we were praying behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and when he ﷺ raised his head from the position of ruku` (bowing position), he said: “Sami Allahu leman hamidah” – ‘Allah hears the one who praises Him’.
A man from behind added:
رَبَّنـا وَلَكَ الحَمْـدُ حَمْـداً كَثـيراً طَيِّـباً مُـبارَكاً فيه
“Rabbanaa wa la kal hamd, hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakan feeh”
‘Our Lord, all praise is due only to You, praise which is abundant, excellent and blessed.’
When we finished [the prayer] the Prophet ﷺ said: ‘Who spoke?’ The man said, ‘I did’.
He ﷺ said,
‘Indeed I saw some 30 angels all scuffling to see which one of them could record it.’

Abū Burda b. Abut Mūsa al-Ash’arī (may Allāh be pleased with him) reported:
’Abdullāh bin ’Umar said to me: “Did you hear anything from your father narrating something from the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) about the (special) hour on Friday?” I said: “Yes, I heard him say from the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ), “It is between the time when the Imām sits down and the end of the prayer.”
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 853]

Shaykh Sālih Ibn ‘Uthaymīn (may Allāh be pleased with him) said,
“..One should make the most of this opportunity and say du’ā’ between the two khutbahs. With regard to raising the hands, I do not think there is anything wrong with it, because the basic principle with regard to du’ā’ is that its etiquette includes raising the hands. So if a person raises his hands there is nothing wrong with it, and if he says du’ā’ without raising his hands there is nothing wrong with it. This has to do with du’ā’ between the two khutbahs.“

Fasting the 10th of Muharram is highly encouraged as doing so will expiate your MINOR sins of the previous year.
It is also recommended to fast the 9th of Muharram as advised by the Prophet (peace be upon him) :
'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) fasted on 'Ashura' and commanded the Muslims to fast as well, they said, 'O Messenger of Allah, it is a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians.' The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, 'If I live to see the next year, in sha Allah, we will fast on the ninth day too.' But it so happened that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) passed away before the next year came." [Reported by Muslim, 1916]

When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked, Which of the people is best, he said: “Everyone who is pure of heart and sincere of speech.” They said: Sincere of speech, we know what this is, but what is pure of heart? He said: “It is (the heart) that is pious and pure, with no sin, injustice, rancour or envy in it.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah 4216)
May Allah grant us pure, forgiving hearts, free from grudges and rancour.

Remembering Allah (dhikr) brings great benefits, such as spiritual well-being, tranquillity and softening of the heart.
Allah says: “Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest” [Ar-Ra‘d 13:28]
“and the men and the women who remember Allah much with their hearts and tongues Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise)”
[Al-Ahzaab 33:35]
