Engagement Is a Big Deal Right Now
You see ehen, in this age and time, engagement is now a really big deal. Gone are the days when people just posted on Facebook for fun or to pass time. My dear, things have changed o. Right now, everyone wants to be seen, heard, and of course, to sell something.
If you’ve noticed, most big brands and companies today pay influencers with large followers and strong engagement to promote their products. Why? Because they understand the game of visibility.
They know that the more people who see their brand, the higher their chances of making sales. That’s the same reason you see brands running ads or paying content creators. It’s not just about the followers, it’s about engagement.
Now, let’s bring it home. Have you ever made a post and after a few minutes it just died down? Nobody liked, commented, or shared it? It felt like you were talking to yourself.
That’s because when people don’t engage with your post, the algorithm reads it as “not interesting,” and stops pushing it to more people. That’s why engagement is not just a fancy social media word, it’s the fuel that drives visibility.
I always tell my students to make it a habit to comment under their own posts. When you drop a few comments, it signals to the system that people are interested in that post, and before you know it, more people begin to see it. Visibility and engagement work hand in hand.
But listen my dear, don’t post all manner because you want engagement. Some people go as far as posting anything just to attract attention. That’s where the problem is.
It’s not every type of engagement that brings value. You must be intentional about the kind of content you share. Post things that people can relate to, learn from, or find valuable. That’s how you attract the right kind of audience.
Look at health content creators, for example. They get massive engagement because their posts speak to real human needs. They talk about pregnancy, high blood pressure, stress, and things that affect people every day. That’s why people engage, they can relate. They ask questions, they share their stories, and that interaction keeps spreading the post even more.
So if you want to build your brand, learn to post engaging content. Don’t just drop random posts and disappear. Ask questions. Share your thoughts.
Tell stories. Let people feel like you’re talking directly to them. The more they comment, the more your post grows, and the more visible your brand becomes.
We’ve left the era where engagement didn’t matter. Now, engagement is everything. It determines whether your post will be seen or ignored. It’s the difference between having a silent page and having a page that attracts attention and opportunities.
So as you show up online today, post valuable content that people will love to engage with. Don’t just post and run.
Reply to comments, talk to people in your comment section, and build relationships there. That’s how you grow visibility, build trust, and of course, attract sales.
If this message spoke to you, tell me, how do you get engagement on your posts?
Let’s talk about it in the comment section.♥️♥️
