SNAP SHOTS OF 2024 ADMINISTRATIVE PROFESSIOMALS' CONFERENCE
It is no longer news that 2024 Administrative Professionals' Conference is scheduled to hold from 5th -7th November, 2024 in Kaduna. What may be news will be that the Conference will be presided by Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni. OFR f.inst.AM the fouth President of IRAMN and the Commandant -General of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps. Similarly, IRAMN Vice President will be unveiled during the 2024 Conference. Therefore, the 2024 edition of the conference will be intellectually stimulating and socially robost. To this end, a fun parked gala nite is being planned to hold during the event. Therefore, members are advised to make arrangement for a nite of social carnival.
Furthermore, airport pickup at Abuja airport to Iju train station enroute Kaduna is in the plan. In this regard, delegates to the conference from Abuja and Southern part of Nigeria are requested to contact the Secreteriat for further information on movement from Abuja to Kaduna by train.

Lifetime Learning Mindset: Ways To Keep Learning and Grow

The rapid advancement of technology and information has led to a significant increase in the amount of information we absorb and use. This has led to a greater need for effective learning and self-mastery. The capacity for rapid and independent learning has compounded the disparity in outcomes, making it crucial to master the capacity for effective learning. This has led to a widening divide between individuals who learn quickly and effectively, affecting various aspects of life such as health, happiness, and addiction. Therefore, enhancing our ability to learn and assimilate new information is essential for personal growth and self-mastery in the 21st century.

◾Here are some pointers for developing a lifetime learning mindset;

◾Turn into an omnivore of information
◾Regularly refute your presumptions
◾Develop your ability to w**d out irrelevant or poor quality material.

◾Turn into an omnivore of information;

Like anything else, we have a tendency to develop comfort zones and informational habits that cause us to repeatedly process the same kind of material. For the next month, try collecting your news from entirely different sources—preferably ones with opposing viewpoints—regardless of where you usually acquire it. Simply see what transpires.

Asking oneself how thoughts and concepts link to one another on a regular basis will help you better assimilate knowledge from anyplace. My main area of interest and thought is psychology. However, because economics, anthropology, sociology, and political science are constantly connected to psychological notions, I frequently read these fields. I find those other subjects more interesting when I see such tie-ins.

The ultimate objective should be to develop a habit of receiving knowledge from a broad range of sources and media, including text, audio, video, and long- and short-form information, and using them to contrast and evaluate the concepts.

◾Regularly refute your presumptions;

Seeking out authors, books, or concepts that vehemently challenge your existing beliefs is a wise practice. It takes a lot of emotional energy to do this, but if you succeed, you will either find a place where you are incorrect or strengthen the case for your own beliefs. There is absolutely no harm in questioning your own thoughts and convictions.

This is particularly significant since, as humans, we tend to just repeat and reiterate what we already know. We are fond of our small ideological bubbles. If we could, we would live there indefinitely (and some people do). Make an effort to burst your own bubble.

Another thing I occasionally do is journal. However, instead of writing about my day or my thoughts, I just make a list of the things that are really important to me and set a task for myself to write arguments against each item on the list. Maybe I'll write down that I think I'm really good at creating stuff for the internet and start testing that belief. At times, the problems appear insignificant, but at other times, you begin to see through your own self-deception. I've done this quite a few times when I've had personal changes in opinion.

◾Develop your ability to w**d out irrelevant or poor quality material;

Regretfully, the internet has led to an abundance of inaccurate and/or superfluous information in the world. It is imperative that we, as customers, adopt severe consumption habits. You should skip anything that isn't helpful or beneficial inside the first ten percent. Life is far too brief. Also, there is far too much excellent information available.

Remember that "good" and "enjoyable" are not always synonymous. There are a lot of annoying yet quite helpful things in the world. You should constantly question yourself, "Is this helpful? Will completing this book, movie, article, or podcast help me achieve my objectives?

If not, chop it off.
