A Clever Trick Turned Around

One day, a boy was eating with his father when he decided to play a trick on him. He had noticed that whenever they ate together, the bigger piece of meat always ended up on his father's side of the plate.

As they ate, the boy suddenly said, “Dad, our geography teacher taught us that the earth rotates like this.” He demonstrated by slowly turning the plate—and in doing so, moved the bigger meat to his side. Pleased with his clever move, he smiled to himself and continued eating.

His father chuckled, amused. Then he calmly replied, “That’s true. But he also taught us that the earth keeps rotating like this.” He turned the plate again, bringing the meat right back to his side.

The boy stared in disbelief, then frowned. His trick had backfired—and his father was still one move ahead.
