TOPIC: ONGOING SPIRITUAL WARFARE
FOR READING & MEDITATION:
EXODUS 10: 21 –24
Money, as a medium of exchange, plays a significant role in our daily lives. Whether we admit it or not, most people leave their homes for work each day, primarily in pursuit of income. That alone tells us money holds a strategic place in our lives. And because of its importance, how we relate to and manage money matters greatly—especially for believers.
One of the greatest spiritual battles we face in developing Christlike character revolves around our attitude toward money. It’s no coincidence that this is an area where Satan often launches some of his fiercest attacks. As a child of God, you are engaged in ongoing spiritual warfare and it takes God’s power to remain grounded and faithful.
When the enemy sees your potential in Christ, he intensifies his efforts. In our passage today, Pharaoh offers Moses a seemingly generous compromise: “Go, serve the LORD—even your women and children may go with you—but leave your flocks and herds behind” [Exodus 10: 24].
But this was no small matter. The Israelites were shepherds—their wealth, livelihood and future were tied to their livestock. Leaving their animals behind would have meant leaving behind their economic security. Pharaoh was saying, “You can worship—just don’t bring your resources with you.”
This is the same trap many Christians fall into today. We claim to be saved and have left the world behind, yet the world’s principles still guide how we view and handle money. We may have left Egypt but has Egypt left us?
Far too often, Satan deceives us into separating our money from our worship. As a result, while we claim to serve God, we hesitate to give generously or we give conditionally. And when we hold back from God, we often lose those resources through unexpected troubles.
If you have truly surrendered your life to Christ, then everything—including your money—belongs to Him. True discipleship includes stewardship. Giving is not just about charity; it’s about lordship—acknowledging that God owns it all. You were bought with the precious blood of Jesus, and you are now His.
The Bible makes this principle clear: “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together…” [Luke 6: 38]. Your willingness to give, to care for others, and to contribute to God’s work is a true measure of your love for Him. And it’s also the path to sustained prosperity.
VERSE OF THE DAY: “Go … only let your flocks… remain behind” [Exodus 10: 24].
QUOTE: “The care you show to others is also the measure of your love for God.”
PRAYER: Father, teach me to be alert to the schemes of the enemy. Help me to resist every temptation to withhold what belongs to You and honour You with my resources, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TOPIC: NEVER CAUGHT OFF GUARD
FOR READING & MEDITATION: EXODUS 1:8-14
We ended yesterday's mediation with a prayer—and rightly so, because prayer aligns us with God's purposes. One thing we must never forget is that, God delights in the prosperity of His children. However, what many believers overlook is this sobering reality: when God blesses His people, the enemy becomes agitated. Satan will do anything in his power to frustrate and oppose those walking in devine favor.
This spiritual truth explains why many do not experience lasting , sustained prosperity —not because God is unwilling, but because we often underestimate the opposition that follows divine increase.
In today's passage, we see that a new Pharaoh rose to power—one who did not know Joseph .He became afraid of the Isrealites' growing to slow their progress . Sadly, this is still a reality today. Many in the world, knowingly or not , play into the enemy's agenda—resisting the growth, success and prosperity of God's children.
But here's the good news: no one can frustrate the plans of God. Our God is a Deliverer . He will sustain you and strengthen you as you hold fast to the hope set before you [ Hebrews 12:1-3]. Whatever burden hinders your full service to Go od is a form of bo***ge. Jesus made it clear: “No one who puts a hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God”[Luke 9:62].
The power of God is able to break every yoke and release you into true freedom and prosperity.Remarkably , the more the Isrealites were afflicted, the more they multiplied and flourished .This principle still holds true —when believers are oppressed at work , in society or in business, God's power often shines even brighter through their endurance. No one can stop what God has ordained.
God may not always remove adversity immediately but when His appointed time comes, nothing can stand in His way. He is never caught off guard and He is always in full control. For those who walk in His will, all things work together for their good [Romans 8:28].
So , here's the question: Do you truly love God? Because for those who do , prosperity —real, sustained, God-givem prosperity —is not only possible, it's inevitable.
VERSE OF THE DAY: “Now there arose a new king over Egypt who did not know Joseph ”[Exodus 1:8].
QUOTE: “Bondage is any burden that prevents you from serving God fully.”
PRAYER: Gracious Father, thank You for the assurances found in Your Word. Help me to understand the principles behind sustained prosperity. Strengthen me to serve You faithfully. In Jesus' name, Amen.
