#1 of 40Rs - Restart!

I'm standing outside and enjoying the view at Miango rest home. How can I take a little bit of this back with me? Why do we forget that the the best things in life are free? Why do we not seize the opportunity to BREATHE daily?

We allow our schedule to fill up so fast and we end up getting choked by it. We can't breathe! When there's so much to accomplish and so many people that I am responsible for, all the clients expecting to have sessions with me.... Can I still enjoy the life that I have.

So where do I go from here?Where do you go from here? This new way of life. This busy life. We work as if time is running out. Well, actually it is. That's why we need to find the balance.

Can we hit the restart button? The answer is YES! It's as simple as that. You know when you're playing a computer game and you do not like the way it's going? What do you do? Hit the restart button right?

When you hit the restart button, make sure you fit in the things that give your body and soul rest! Can I stand in front of my window at work and home and enjoy the view? Or stand outside early in the morning just to breathe!! Maybe after each session, I can take 5 minutes for myself.

Yes you can find rest simply by pressing the restart button. If I forget to take deep breaths today, I will try again tomorrow. And again. And again. If my day does not turn out the way I wanted, I will hit the restart button again. If, like me, you've forgotten how to seize the moment, hit the restart button!!

The United Nations General Assembly established the International Day of Play (IDOP) to recognize the importance of play in the human experience and to ensure that every child's right to play is respected and fulfilled. The day is celebrated annually on June 11th.

This first-ever International Day of Play marks a significant milestone in efforts to preserve, promote, and prioritize playing so that all people, especially children, can reap the rewards and thrive to their full potential.

At Play Therapy Nigeria, we commemorate this day by discussing "The Importance of Play Rooms in Hospitals."

Our guest speakers include:

- *Lami Tinam Gidado* (President, Licensed Play Therapist, & President, Association of Play Therapy Nigeria).

- *Dr. Amenze Eguavoen* (Founder/Executive Director, Lluvia Health Organisation).

- *Vespus Chenja Sanguli* (Psychological Counselor | KCPA Chairperson Kilifi County | APTK Member - Kenya)

- *Dr. Phillips Udoh* (Lead Trainer & Facilitator, Rayfield Chess Academy, Jos)
