Called to Learn. Formed to Lead.

Today’s Chapel featured a briefing from the Deputy Provost for Academic Affairs/Registry, encouraging students to remain attentive to their studies while staying mindful of God’s calling and mandate for their lives.

Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:14–15, students were reminded that academic engagement is both intellectual and spiritual requiring discipline, diligence, and a commitment to excellence.

At JETS, the goal goes beyond acquiring knowledge: we are preparing transformed leaders who will return to serve and impact the Church and society.

🎶 A Voice of Surrender. A Heart Ready for God.

It was beautiful to hear the JETS Choir back in worship, leading us in a song that calls us to surrender our hearts to Jesus and ask Him to reveal His will for our lives.

The message is simple yet profound: true victory begins with a heart yielded to God, the heart that seeks His direction, stands firm against temptation, and trusts Him through every challenge.

As we continue this new academic journey, may our lives be shaped by the same prayer: “Jesus, open my heart and show me Your will.”

Ending the Week in Prayer, Looking Ahead with Faith🙏

As we round off Provost’s Week, we reflect with gratitude on a week of prayer, learning, spiritual reflection, and renewed commitment to our semester theme, “Walking in the Newness of Life” - Ephesians 4:22–24.

We thank God for the moments of impact and look forward to another week of meaningful activities and messages at JETS.

Remembering Christ. Beginning the Semester in His Presence.

Today’s Chapel Service provided a meaningful opportunity for the JETS community to gather around the Lord’s Table in Holy Communion, remembering Christ’s sacrifice and His command to His followers.

Led by the Chaplain, the service also reflected on our semester theme, “Walking in the Newness of Life,” while revisiting yesterday’s reflection on the ontology of Christian transformation, who we are in Christ and how that identity shapes the way we live.

Drawing from Ephesians 1, we were reminded of the blessings and new identity we have received in Christ as we begin this new academic journey.

As the semester unfolds, may our learning, character, and service increasingly reflect the life we have been called to live in Christ.

True Transformation Begins Within.

Today’s Chapel message, led by the Provost, continued our semester theme of “Walking in the Newness of Life” from Ephesians 4:22–24.

The focus was on the ontology of Christian transformation - understanding who we are in Christ and allowing that identity to shape how we live.

We were reminded to put off the old self, renew our minds, and put on the new self. True Christian transformation begins within and is reflected in our character, choices, and relationship with God.
