In loving memory of our dear colleague Mr. Godwin Felix Ondeku whose untimely demise took place on the 18th of March, 2026.
May God grant his family the fortitude to bear this loss and grant his gentle soul eternal rest.

The Provost/CEO, FCMLST, Jos Prof. (Obong) Nkereuwem S. Etukudoh, on Tuesday 25th March, 2026 at the Performance Management System (PMS) signing of the PMS Bond/Contract between the CEOs of Agencies and Parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare with the Coordinating Minister, Hon. Minister of State and the Permanent Secretary in Abuja.

The Management of Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology Jos, led by the Provost/CEO paid a condolence visit to the Ondeku's family, over the demise of their son, late Mr Godwin Ondeku, whose death occurred on 18/03/2026.
In his condolence message, the Provost /CEO Professor Sunday Etukudoh expressed sorrow and regret and prayed to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss: “His passing is a great loss not only to your family but also to the academic community and all who knew him. Words may not fully express the sorrow we feel at this difficult time, but please take comfort in the memories you shared and the impact he made during his life time”.
The Provost/CEO Professor Sunday Etukudoh and Management staff, pledged to support the family.

May the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest and give the family the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of grief.

GENERAL STAFF MEETING HOLDS AT FEDERAL COLLEGE OF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, JOS

The Management of the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos held a general staff meeting today, Wednesday 18th March, 2026. The meeting commenced at 3:10 p.m. with the rendition of the national anthem, followed by an opening prayer.
The meeting featured the introduction of Principal Officers( The Provost/CEO, The Deputy Provost Administration, The Deputy Provost Academics, The Registrar, The Chief Librarian and The Bursar) before the Provost/CEO delivered his opening address. In his speech, the Provost; Professor Sunday Etukudoh highlighted ongoing efforts by the college to improve staff welfare, including the transition to a new salary structure. He also announced that promotion examinations are scheduled to take place on March 30th.

Addressing infrastructural development, the Provost noted that ongoing projects are currently awaiting budgetary approval for continuation. He further emphasized the importance of commitment to duty, warning that absenteeism could lead to dismissal.
The Provost announced that Rose Sati has been appointed to oversee the Institution’s Public Relations. He also revealed that a staff welfare scheme will commence in April, with a monthly deduction of ₦1,000 from staff to support colleagues during emergencies. According to him, the welfare account will be jointly managed by the College Management and representatives of staff unions.

Looking ahead, he informed staff that deductions are expected to commence from April, while encouraging continuous personal development through education to remain relevant in the system. He advised staff to embrace unity, forgiveness, and co-operation as essential tools for progress.

The Provost also encouraged staff participation in civic responsibilities, urging support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and citing positive impacts of his administration. He assured staff of transparent leadership, stressing that he has never collected money for recruitment. During the interactive session, Mr. Gabriel Ozoadibe commended the Provost for the new salary structure and sought clarification on the welfare package set to begin in April. Mls Hillary Akpan also expressed appreciation for the opportunities provided to staff under the current administration.

The meeting concluded with a closing prayer and the staff encouraged to maintain peace and support institutional leadership for continued progress.

The Provost/CEO and the Management wish to announce the appointments of the Deputy Provost (Academics) and the Registrar in the persons of Dr. Eno Mantu Chongs and Dr. Uchejeso Mark Obeta respectively.
We congratulate them on their new appointments and pray for them to have the wisdom and strength to function assiduously in their offices.
