So the other day I went out and saw a number of people wearing designs made by PhildaBeatscouture, all I felt was pure joy!
The last time I saw Mrs H, she told me how she couldn't believe her daughter was still wearing her dress even after a year, when the norm is usually for kids to outgrow their outfits within 6 months if it was fitted from first wear.
Well, our outfits defy that odd, don't ask me how cos only a trial will certainly convince you.
Our offer still remains, 15% off all ball dresses and orders made before Dec 1st.
Cheers to durable dresses.

Conquering the Fear of Starting Something New:
My Fashion Design Journey
Have you ever had a dream gnawing at you, one you know you should pursue, but fear holds you back?
Fear of the unknown, that's what it was for me.
Last year, when someone approached me to teach fashion design online, I had everything ready: the tools, the curriculum, the plan. Yet, I hesitated. Why? Was it fear of showing my face? My voice? It seemed silly, but that's how powerful fear can be.
This made me realize just how many people are stuck, their dreams on hold, all because of this same fear. It's a powerful force that keeps us from moving forward.
But it doesn't have to win!
I chose to push through my fear and create my online fashion design school, "Phildabeats Fashion School." Now, anyone can learn fashion design from the comfort of their home!
Have you identified your "unknown fear" that's holding you back? Don't let it control your destiny. Take that first step, just like I did. You might be surprised what you can achieve!
Ready to unlock your fashion design potential? Registration for Phildabeats Fashion School is coming soon! Stay tuned!

Hey Fashion Fam,
Patience is a virtue in learning any skill!
Fashion school is not just for learning corsets!
Most of the time, when I ask prospective students what they came to learn in Fashion school, their response is always - corsets.
So when they look at the beginners curriculum and don't see corsetry on it, they decide they won't stay.
When you go to any school, they don't start teaching Alphabets from "M" or "N", you have to start from "A", that way by the time you are reaching "Z", you are formidable. And even if yiu wanted to learn just a letter, you have to go through the process.
Be patient learn through the process.
Do not be in a hurry!
Learn well so that your learning is ingrained in you.
We teach hoods, shirts and bomber Jackets with their patterns in advanced class!

SKILLS ARE A SECRET WEAPON!!
I have always understood that human beings can be multifaceted and can learn anything they set their heart to do!
Learning a new skill is about unlocking hidden doors within ourselves, discovering talents, and building a toolkit that equips us for life's unexpected twists and turns.
I once had a Fashion student who was a PhD holder in Public health & head of department at her place of work, she was married & had 2 kids & never made excuses, when I asked her why she wanted to learn to sew, she said she had always had a passion for it.
She came in and had never peddled a sewing machine prior to this time. She set her mind, and she did it. She went on to sew a few outfits herself after each class as our culture is. You needed to see how she screamed in excitement😁
She was about to finish her beginners class when she had to leave Nigeria for the states, a few weeks later, she sent me a video of her sewing, she said " My sister in law asked me to sew for her daughter, and being the smart woman I am, see my work"....
Wow, what else makes any teacher proud, but seeing a student who learnt well!
Our next class starts on the 16th of January. You shouldn't miss this opportunity to hone your passion. You just may need it someday🤷🏻♀️😁

Hey Fashion Fam,
BEFORE YOU PICK A FASHION SCHOOL TO LEARN FROM, DO THIS!
Picking a great school is like finding the perfect shoe- its got to be fabulous and fit right. But with so many options out there, how do you find the best for you?
1. Find your Fashion fam - every school has its own vibe & atmosphere. Do they match your learning style? What kind of students are there? Rebels or classics?
2. Check their curriculum - Is the curriculum sharp?what skill & specialisation is contained in there? Do they have industry internships or lectures? Remember you are investing in your future, so make sure the program equips you with the tools & knowledge to slay the fashion world.
3. Location: This is very important in learning. Make sure you can get there for lectures early. Ensure it is easily accessible as well.
4. Beyond sewing: Fashion isn't just about pretty clothes. It's about business too! Does the school offer courses in marketing & enterpreneurship?
5. Trust your gut feeling: sometimes the best decision is one that makes your heart sing. Visit the school, chat with students, and see if you experience any creative fire.
So pick your pen & pick the place that makes your fashion dreams take flight & wherever you land, keep creating, keep dreaming, and keep slaying in the fashion game.
P.S. Our pretty student when we were doing skirts in beginners class.....

I was sitting in my shop last year during school holidays when a teenage girl came in and asked if she could learn how to sew.
I told her that it would be a short time to learn, but I gave her the registration form and curriculum so she could show her parents.
Two days later, she came back to the shop. "My mom says she may not be able to pay," she said, "but I'm willing to do anything to learn."
I was impressed by her determination. "Okay," I said. "Fill out these forms and get your parents to sign the guarantor form. If you can do that, we'll work something out."
The next day, she came back and started learning how to sew.
She was a quick learner, and she was always eager to help out around the shop.
This year again, when her long break from school started, she came back to the shop every day to practice her sewing skills.
By the end of the break, she had learned a lot and was able to make some simple outfits for herself.
I was so impressed by her determination and hard work that I decided to let her join the beginners' class for free Phildabeatsfashionschool
She was so happy, and she continued to learn and grow as a seamstress.
Wow, this teenager in this era is different & unique.
She showed that anything is possible if you set your mind to it and never give up.
She also restated the importance of hard work and determination by her attitude.
I'm so glad that I met her and that I was able to help her achieve her dream of learning how to sew.
She is an inspiration, and I know that she will go on to do great things.
2 things to learn:
Never give up on your dreams, no matter how difficult they may seem.
Hard work and determination can overcome any obstacle.
You can use the holiday for your kids to learn a skill they are interested in!

How intentional are you about growth in an aspect or some aspects of your life?
Being intentional is not always easy, but it is worth it.
When you are intentional, you are more likely to live a life that is aligned with your values and goals.
So, how can you be more intentional in your life?
Set goals: What do you want to achieve in your life? Once you know what you want, you can start to make plans to achieve it.
Take action: Don't just dream about your goals, take steps to make them happen.
Be mindful: Pay attention to your thoughts, actions, and words. Are they aligned with your values and goals?
Take responsibility: Own your choices and the results of those choices.
Be patient: It takes time to achieve your goals. Don't get discouraged if you don't see results immediately.
Have you thought about being intentional with your fashion education?
Be like Niri, she has been intentional about her fashion learning journey, Look how confident she has become in her very own designed pieces.

MEET THE WOMAN WHO CHANGED HER SITUATION JUST COS SHE HAD LEARNT A SKILL!
Her name is Sarah, she had been sewing since she was a little girl.
She had always loved the feeling of creating something with her own hands, and she was very talented.
She could sew anything, from simple garments to elaborate costumes.
Sarah had been working in a large department store for the past 10 years.
She had a good job, and she was well-respected by her colleagues.
But then, one day, the store announced that it was closing down. Sarah was devastated. She didn't know what she was going to do.
But then, Sarah remembered her sewing skills. She knew that she could use her talent to make a living.
So, she started her own business. She called it "Sarah's Sewing Studio," and she offered a variety of services, including alterations, custom-made garments, and sewing classes.
Sarah's business was a success. She was able to use her skills to create beautiful and unique pieces of clothing.
She also enjoyed teaching sewing classes, and she loved helping people learn to sew.
Sarah's job loss was a setback, but she was able to overcome it.
She used her sewing skills to create a new life for herself, and she was happier than ever.
Too many times I have conducted interviews and most of the people don't have a skill, something they can do with their hands or minds aside what they studied in school!
Empower yourself today, learn fashion design with us and you will be glad you did!

Slaying the fashion world, one step at a time!
Our very own fashion student, Titilope Hamzat recently completed her intermediate class project, and she absolutely slayed it! From sketching to reality, she did this all by herself, and we are so proud of her grit and resilience.
Not only is she a talented fashion designer, but she is also a dedicated mother of three. She has not let her busy schedule stop her from pursuing her dreams, and we are so inspired by her determination.
I am so proud of her Journey.
We can't wait to see what she accomplishes next!
