Counting Down to the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2026 National Showcase
We're thrilled to share that Web3tribe University, our flagship initiative under Web3.0 Alliance Ltd, has been selected as a national finalist for the NextGen Innovation Challenge 2026 — and we'll be at Nicon Luxury, Abuja next month to showcase it.
None of this would be possible without the vision of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) and the continued partnership of UKALD in creating a platform for innovators across Nigeria to be seen, supported, and connected to the kind of partnerships that take real ideas to national scale. We're deeply grateful to be part of this cohort.
What started as a grassroots initiative to bridge the gap between emerging technologies and local communities has grown into something we believe answers a genuinely national question: how do we get world-class digital skills — AI, cybersecurity, data science, Blockchain and more — into the hands of Nigerians in every corner of the country, not just its biggest cities?
A couple of things we've been quietly building toward that answer:
Instruction is no longer English-only. We've built genuine multi-language capability into the platform — starting with Hausa, Yorùbá, and Igbo — so courses can be created and taught in these languages, not just browsed in translation.
Governance is designed in, even before it's switched on. We've built the architecture to restrict course creation to accredited professionals in regulated fields when the time comes — verified credentials before publishing a course or opening a cohort, with room for others to teach existing vetted material in their own area of expertise.
And honestly, that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's a lot more in store that we're saving for the room next month, because some things are better experienced live than described in a post.
See you in Abuja.
