During the holiday, our school hosted 27 other EMS Schools represented by their Heads of Schools.

This was for the Teach to Make a Difference Training for Primary School Teachers organized by EMS of ECWA and SIM.

The training held from the 7th to 10th of August 2023 and 6 of our teachers got to attend.

The sessions were on

~Learning Styles of Students
~Using Resources Provided
~Phonics
~Using Charts for English Comprehension
~Mobilizing Parents and Community Efforts for Better Educational Outcomes
~Teaching with the Brain in Mind
~Teaching Math Facts
~Behavior Management Practices and
~Fund Development

Our teachers and all participants were empowered to do better beyond the new school year and we look forward to seeing the transformation in our classrooms.

Our 2022/2023 Academic Year ended with our Annual Graduation Ceremony. It was graced by many parents and well wishers. We graduated 18 students from the Primary School and 20 students from the Junior Secondary School.

Welcome to September!

We went on an adventurous and educational field trip to Mees Palace with 89 of our Learners on the 31st of July 2023 and the Learners had the time of their lives. This is the first in the history of our school and we give God the glory.

We look forward to seeing another one.

5 of our teachers went on a 2-day training from the 14th - the 15th of July 2023. The training was on Living with Family Members with Addictive and Compulsive Behaviours for Families, Caregivers, Organisations and Schools organised by Hedges of Mercy Nigeria.

They learned about the following;

Identifying Early Signs of Substance Abuse
Learning Styles
Addiction and Family Members
Addiction to Power
Mistakes Families of Addicts Make and
Basic Operation Starters

We are intentional about the all-round nurture of all our Learners and empowering our teachers to employ relevant strategies in dealing with the social, emotional and spiritual development of our Learners and this training was timely in meeting our needs. This training already opened our eyes to the flaws in our disciplinary processes especially in the cases involving students at the school and will help us to address them.

The attendees are already scheduled to step down the training to all other staff in the school and we look forward to seeing the ripple effects and impact this will have in our school community.

We hugely recommend this training for other educators and schools that are committed to improving the social well-being of their students.
