ANGWAN MISSION
(Historical and sociological analysis).

By the time we arrived ANGWAN MISSION in Zinna, the following families had already settled formally.

My methodology of enumeration, family by family, mentioning family heads, may be unscientific but convenient for the purpose of this discussion.

The names would be the way we used to call them as children in that neighbourhood. In some places I will attach names of their children for easy identification.

They included;

1. Baba Gideon Komonka(father to Amos Gideon)

2. Maman Wosenka or Lahko(a widow)

3. Mallam Ishaya Yaruta(father to Andrew Ishaya, Elizabeth Ishaya)
4.Markus(Alexander Sanlos father)

5. Baba Eli Nyame(Rev. Jolly Nyames father).

6. Mr Alfred Dime.

7. Mrs Theresa(Godfreys, Gosco, mother). A widow but later remarried to Alfred Dime.

8. Mr James Goska Yaruta

9. Mr Bala Dimas (father to Mrs Janet, Ephraim Bala).

10. Mr Elisha Dakwonyu (baban Jehura). He was at a point also assisting my father in the management of the church as Cathecist.

11. Mr Denis Gilenya( father to Apollos of the TTV). He was also at one time a cathecist that was assisting my father in the management of the church).

12. Mallam Abdullahi(father to Enoch Abdullahi)

13. Mallam Terenyu(father to Alexander Terenyu, a traditional bone expert, orthopaedic of sort).

14. Mr wontati(ex-service man)

15. Mr Ishaku Pin(father to Hajiya Binta Bardes wife).

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT.

The public would recall the unveiling of ASKIA BUREAU FOR HISTORICAL RESEARCH and the promise we made to periodically share information that may be of interest to the public.

We are unable to keep faith with our commitments due largely to the technical hitches we experienced.

We are happy to announce that we are able to overcome these challenges and ready to resume.

We sincerely apologise to the general public as we announce our resumption from tomorrow, Monday 11th September 2023.

Thank you all.
