Today, we celebrate 65 years of freedom, strength, and resilience as a nation.
But true independence is not just political—it’s also about knowledge and literacy. 📚
Before colonial times, knowledge was passed through storytelling, proverbs & oral traditions.
Missionaries and colonial schools later introduced formal reading & writing, but only to a few.
After 1960, Nigeria launched universal primary education & literacy campaigns to reach more children.
Today, millions can read and write—yet the challenge remains: millions more still cannot.

Too many out-of-school children 🚸

Missed opportunities during the early years, when reading habits should form 🌱

To honor Nigeria at 65, we must give every child the gift of literacy.
Because a literate child becomes a confident adult—and a confident nation.
