Today, the Spell the Bee Team, accompanied by some of the brilliant State Winners of the 2025 Taraba Spelling Championship, paid a visit to the Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University (TSU), Prof. Sunday P. Bako.

Prof. Bako, who graciously served as the Chief Host of the 2025 Taraba Spelling Championship, welcomed the team with warmth and encouragement. His passion for literacy, youth empowerment, and academic excellence continues to shine as a beacon of inspiration across the state.

During the visit, we expressed our deep appreciation for his unwavering support and recognition of the transformative value of the Spelling Championship. We also proudly presented our 2025 spellerbrities and champions—shining examples of what determination, discipline, and quality education can achieve.

Meaningful conversations on strengthening partnerships, expanding our spelling program to every part of the state as well as positioning TSU as a leading force in shaping the educational future of Taraba State ensued.

As we prepare for the 2026/2027 Spelling Season, including the Local Government Spelling Bee, SheSpells, School Bee Tour, and the grand Taraba Spelling Festival, TSU stands out as a powerful ally in nurturing the next generation of thinkers, leaders, and innovators.

Today, Thursday, 23rd October 2025, the Organizers of the Taraba Spelling Championship, alongside the State Winners, Coaches, and School Representatives, paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary, Post Primary Schools Management Board, Jalingo, Taraba State.

The visit aimed to:

✅ Recognize and appreciate the Board’s commitment to promoting quality education and expanding access to learning across the state, especially Dr. Agbu Kefas' free education policy.

✅ Present the State Champions of the 2025 Taraba Spelling Championship for recognition and encouragement.

✅ Strengthen collaboration between Spell the Bee and the Post Primary Schools Management Board for broader educational development and literacy promotion.

During the visit, the team sought stronger partnerships with the Board to take the Taraba Spelling Championship to all 16 Local Government Areas, ensuring that every public school in Taraba State participates and benefits from this literacy-driven initiative.
