Brief Report on the Celebration of International Day of Education on 24th January 2026

Brighter Stars International Academy, Jahun LGA, Jigawa State, successfully commemorated the International Day of Education with active participation from students, staff, and parents. The event was organized to promote awareness on the importance of education and to showcase the talents, knowledge, and creativity of the students.
The celebration commenced with a road walk from the school premises through Unity Bank Road to the Jahun Main Roundabout, proceeded to Gujungu Road, and returned to the school. This activity helped to sensitize the community on the value of education and the significance of the day.
At the school premises, students engaged in various academic and co-curricular activities. These included individual, group, and class presentations where learners confidently expressed their understanding of education and its impact on society. A debate was also held on the topic “The Advantages of Formal Education over Informal Education,” during which students demonstrated critical thinking, communication skills, and sound arguments.
The event was further enriched with drama presentations and choreography, creatively conveying educational messages and entertaining the audience. A quiz competition tested students’ academic knowledge and encouraged healthy intellectual competition among participants.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the presentation of gifts to students who emerged in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions during the last term, as a way of motivating excellence and rewarding hard work.

The Management of Brighter STARS International Academy Jahun, Jigawa State. wishes to inform the general Public that the date for our Cultural Day celebration has been rescheduled to

Saturday, 6th December 2025

This adjustment became necessary due to another important event ( Annual Qua'ran Memorization) that will be taking place in our host community Jahun on 29th November

After careful consideration of the two events potentially occurring on the same day, the Management has decided to shift our celebration to allow our Muslim students the opportunity to participate fully in the Qur’an memorization event.

We sincerely regret any inconvenience this change may cause.

Kindly bear with us and take note of the new date: **6th December 2025*

Almighty God, we come to you today and give thanks for all our teachers. Thank you for the way in which they give of themselves each day in the classroom, serving and instructing the next generation of this land. God, please fill their hearts with courage by Your mighty Spirit. Fill them with Your strength, so they may rise to every challenge and not grow weary. Fill them with Your wisdom, so they may be able to make good judgments when guiding and helping others. Fill them with Your peace, so that stress and anxiety will not overwhelm them. Fill them with Your joy, so the passion they have for their pupils may become an infectious passion that spreads.
Meet all their needs and grant them peace on every sides in Jesus mighty name Amen
