Apata Memorial School Isolo

The aim of the experiment (Dissection )is to study the internal structure of a mammal through the dissection of a rabbit. The students were instructed to wear gloves , nose masks and lab coats to maintain hygiene and safety. The rabbit specimen, which had been preserved, was placed on a dissecting board and secured with pins.

As the dissection progressed, the students identified major organs such as the heart, lungs, liver, stomach, and intestines. The students explained the function of each organ and how they work together to sustain life.
The students examined the heart and traced major blood vessels, gaining a better understanding of how blood circulates through the body. Similarly, the digestive system was studied by following the path from the mouth to the intestines, noting how food is processed and nutrients are absorbed.

Overall, the experiment (Dissection)provided the students with hands-on experience and a deeper appreciation of mammalian anatomy. It reinforced theoretical knowledge from textbooks and helped them develop practical laboratory skills, observation techniques, and respect for living organisms.
