DO YOU HAVE A JAMB SCORE BETWEEN 150 - 179 IN 2016 UTME - Your Next Step.

This thread is for candidates who scored 150-179 and above in the 2016 Unified tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Apparently, you did not meet the cut-off mark that is acceptable in any known university but that does not mean
you cannot secure any admission this year.
You may have concluded that a polytechnic is your best option at this point. However, you can still gain admission into 200Level in a University. Yes! You read right, a university. Have you heard about IJMB Programme? IJMB
means Interim Joint Matriculation Board, while IJMBE is the "Examination" itself. IJMB is an Advanced-Level (A-Level) Course, which you take for 9 months, after which you take a final exam that gives you a certificate.
With the certificate obtained at the end of the programme, you can apply for admission into 200 Level in institutions
like UNILAG, ABU, UNILORIN, UNIPORT and other universities in Nigeria (including federal, state and private) .
However, if you still want to settle for a polytechnic, the first step to take now is to verify if you have the required cut-off
mark for your course of study in the polytechnic you selected during UTME Registration.

Also you have the hurdle of post-UTME to deal with.

DO YOU HAVE A JAMB SCORE OF 200 AND ABOVE IN 2016 UTME - YOUR NEXT STEP.

This thread is for candidates who scored 200 and above in the 2016 Unified tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Going by the irregularities that marred the examination, it can be said that you are among the privileged few out of the over 1 million candidates that sat for the examination.
However, being among the privileged few to scale through the hurdle of UTME does not mean automatically qualify you for admission into a higher institution.
We want to use this medium to guide you on the next step you are to take towards securing admission this year.
With your score, you may have already qualified for the post-UTME of your selected institutions. However, there are
few things you should know at this point as to ensure you finally secure an admission this year.
If the course you picked in your selected institution is a competitive one, and you do not have a score well above 200, you may not stand a good chance of gaining
admission. So what you need to do is verify the cut off mark in your selected institution for that particular course. That way you will know if you stand a chance and that will inform if you need a switch by changing your course to a less competitive one relative to your score. Secondly, Do not let your UTME score get into your head, there is one more major hurdle; POST-UTME.
