Interim Joint and Matriculatio Board (IJMB) is a federal government approved programme of 9months moderated Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. It is designed to solve problems of admission for candidates seeking admission into the Nigerian University both home and abroad. The examination is conducted every first quarter of the year (precisely ferbruary) in designated centres, while the results is rel
eased in due time for admission processing. IJMB does not require your JAMB score for admission processing, all it requires is your O'level result be it WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, GCE e.t.c. 5 credits in one sitting and 6 credits for two sittings. However, awaiting result candidates too can apply. Interested IJMB candidates are expecte to select any THREE (3) A/LEVEL SUBJECTS related to their preffered course of study in the university. During the course of the programme, candidates will be lectured on these A/Level Subjects within the period of the 9months in other to have a better result at the final examination. The course of the programe as they are exposed to courses they would be taught in the university during the programme intensively and extensively through lectures and practicals. Upon the completion of the programme, students are to purchase a direct entry form from JAMB office and apply to any school of their choice (check JAMB Brochure to confirm IJMB as a direct entry requirement into 200level). In September/October, they are then shortlisted for admission into their chosen institutions. Meanwhile, candidates with deficiency(ies) in O'level English Language or/and Mathematics only, can remedy these subjects by registering for the O'level subject(s) during the course of the programme.
