ABOUT JUPEB
A group of ten (10) universities, led by the University of Lagos, founded JUPEB. The board was approved in December 2013 by the Nigerian Federal Government, but was officially set up in April 2014. The Nigerian University Commission (NUC) certifies JUPEB as a standard examination that qualifies students for 200-level admission through JAMB Direct Entry into Nigerian Universities and International Universities.Every year, thousands of applicants register for JUPEB and about 80 percent of them earn admission to 200L via JUPEB at their preferred university. It was set up to accommodate for students who, for one reason or another, could not obtain admission to their chosen institution or for those who need another alternative to university admission, as the program only includes the O’ level outcome. Prospective applicants will be expected to choose 3 combinations of advanced level subjects. Prospective applicants will receive lectures at their respective approved study centers over a span of 9 to 10 months during which they will sit for their final examination that will last for around 2 to 3 weeks. More than 70 percent of Nigeria’s Federal, State and Private Universities accepts JUPEB certificate .

ABOUT IJMBE

The IJMBE Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination is an advanced level examination sponsored by the Ahmadu Bello University, Tertiary Institutions and Government Agencies Collaboration. The exam usually takes place every year between the month of February and March but due to Covid19 lockdown the date has been shifted to May and June . The test is based on the accepted IJMB syllabus organized by the Nigerian Uni 100-level curriculum syllabus.

In 1970, under Statue 5 of the Ahmadu Bello University Rule, the Interim Joint Matriculation Board IJMB was set up to organize an A ‘level examination called the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) for candidates in need of admission into the University (Nigerian and Abroad) for an undergraduate course. The curriculum qualifies an applicant for admission to 200 level into Federal,State, and Private Universities in Nigeria.

Every year, thousands of applicants register for IJMB and about 70% of them are admitted to 200L at their preferred university through IJMB. It was set up to accommodate for applicants who, for one reason or another, could not secure admission to their chosen institution or for those who need another alternative to university admission, as the program only requires your O’ level result(Awaiting Result Candidates Can Also Apply).
