THE PRESSURE BECOMES WORSER.

Social media can make or marr you they say.
Day to day, we are hit from left and right, tempted to bow.
It’s hard, believe me, it is.
This pressure is becoming worser.

That girl seems to be making it.
Take a look at her followers on Facebook.
Comments on her tweets are mind blowing.
And all she has to do is shake her butt.😑
Which isn’t very fresh if I may add.🙄
The pressure is becoming worser.

I know I shouldn’t insult God’s creation.
But I could obviously do better than that guy.🤦‍♀️
The only difference between us is cash at hand.
Becoming rich and being honest still, looks like a prayer for the Atlantic Ocean to freeze over.😕
The pressure is becoming worser.

Oh lord! I don’t want to be a mechanic, I want to be a baller!
But if I put that on my status, church members will believe I have finally joined the world.
But is it a crime to ask for more?😫
Is it a sin praying to be better?
The pressure is becoming worser.

He that laughs last now means he never got to joke in the first place, but not to my God!👍
He made the joke!
So I’ll laugh with Him!💃
No matter how worse the pressure gets, I’ll stand for Jesus.🤭
It may take a while, but I have the assurance He’ll come through for me.❤️

In a world where sin is the order of the day.
A universe where black is presented as a shade of gray.🤪
An environment where righteousness is stupidity.
I choose to be stupid.💪

I am not just a youth!
I am a youth rooted and grounded in JESUS!😋
In Him I live!
In Him I move!
In Him, I HAVE MY BEING!!
So, no matter what the devil presents, I am a Christian!👍
Spirit filled! Blood washed and Christ prioritized!💃

I’ll push the pressure to serve Jesus to the world!
Let’s hit the streets of social media!🤪
Let’s storm the covens of principalities and powers!☺️
Let them know we are not going into hiding!🫡
In my generation, the pressure to live like Christ will get worser!🌎
I can proudly say!! It’s YOU I LIVE FOR!

TO-DO LIST.

We must have heard this times without number. HAVE A TO-DO LIST.

What exactly is this stuff sef?😏

A to-do list is like a shopping list. A list where you write down all you need to do and arrange them on a scale of preference.

Now, it could be like a timetable. You may choose to time yourself so you’d stay on track, but, I don’t do that for mine. Having a time frame on my list only adds unnecessary pressure I can’t deal with this early in 2023. That pressure is similar to someone asking me what I have achieved because 2024 is JUST 11 months away. Like?😏😒🙄

So, here’s what I do…

I write down all I need to do,
I arrange them; Urgent and important.
Urgent but not important.
Important but not urgent.
Not important, not urgent.
Then, I start doing.

This way, I tend to get my priorities right.

Now, since I’m quite new at this, I have learned to celebrate my small victories.

You need to understand that you may not get to half of the important and urgent things on your list, but congratulate yourself for accomplishing one task no matter how small or even no task at all. Celebrate yourself for trying.

Try again the next day.

An amazing time.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET THIS DAY.

When our sun set in the height of noon.
When the moon came out to feast while it was day.
When the sky, yet bright, rained blood.

We will never forget this day.

When our proud national colours we’re proved meaningless.
When we became prey to our protectors.
When the fatherland served us hungry vipers instead of bread.

We will never forget this day.

We saw blood.
Blood of our friends.
Blood of our brothers.
Blood of our sisters.
Blood of our children.
Flowing, at Lekki Tollgate.

We will never forget this day.

The rain came and ruthlessly washed off their remains.
The sun came without pity to dry the memory.
But we also had the motion pictures engraved on our minds.

We will never forget this day.

Our leaders came forward, blatantly making light of the gory happening.
Whoever gave the order may never be known.
How many lives were lost is a question that may never find way into our history books.
20th October 2020 our flag became a mere piece of cloth.

We will never forget this day.

Our children will hear about this.
Their children will be told this tale too.
But not just in the moonlight.
We will scream about it.
Make it into lyrics and sing.
We only hope that then, we will have a better Nigeria.

We will never forget this day.

Nigeria failed us.
We were killed by gunmen in the uniforms of our sons, daughters, sisters and brothers.
It was a massacre.
It was an ex*****on.
It was a judgement meted out for a wrong not done.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET THIS DAY.

That time and chance is what determines who wins doesn’t mean your swiftness and strength is useless.

Giving up is the most ridiculous thing you can ever do. Not just to your self, but to the nations that are inside of you.

The moment you understand that your success isn’t personal, isn’t selfish, but is for the good of many you many never even know, that moment is when you begin to take your life seriously.

Beat time.
Beat chance.

Provoke them to select you as a Victor.

Victory comes to those who are deserving of it.

Jesus has done all he can to get you the victory you don’t deserve.
