Allah has promised to test us, in order to make us firm. But, this is only for the true believers.

Our lives here in this world will be full of trials, varying in degrees, till we meet our Lord on the day of resurrection.

To protect our souls from being drowned by trials, this is one of the Dua given taught to us by the messenger of Allah. Say it consistently:

أعوذ بالله من جهد البلاء ودرك الشقاء، وسوء القضاء ، وشماتة الأعداء.

'Audhu biLlaahi min jahdi l balaa', wa darki sh-shaqaa', wa sooi l qadhaa, wa shamaatati l a'daai.

PS: Ìtumò rè ní èdè Yorùbá wà ní ìsàlè.

قل هذه سبيلي أدعوا إلى الله على بصيرة أنا ومن اتبعني وسبحان الله وما أنا من المشركين (١٠٨)

Say, "This is my way; I invite to Allah with insight, I and those who follow me. And exalted is Allah ; and I am not of those who associate partners with Him." (Yusuf 12:108)
