The aim of the project is to develop a digital ecosystem for the textile, fashion design industries and allied industries.
This is with a view to transforming digitally the Nigerian textile and fashion design industries such that it is able to provide the lead in the African textile and fashion market by 2030. The specific objectives of this study to achieve the set aim are to:
1. evaluate the existing textile industry with a view to documenting in detail the weaknesses and capacity building needs;
2. develop a web and mobile application(s) which will allow Business to Business (B2B) and Business to
Consumer (B2C) eCommerce models to interconnect textile designers with their customers, with a view to enhancing participation within the digital ecosystem;
3. assess the web and mobile applications; and
4. engage stakeholders in the use of the applications.
