Happy New Month!

Staff and students of the College of Health Sciences, OAU, welcomed the university principal officers, Dr Oluyemi Badero, friends, well-wishers, members of the IFEMED 1977 matriculation set, and members of the Dr Oluyemi Badero Foundation at the commissioning of the Dr. Oluyemi Badero Hall on Thursday, 13th June 2024. The 60-bed student hall, built, donated, and named in honor of the esteemed cardiologist Dr Oluyemi Badero, stands as a testament to Dr. Badero's commitment to education, healthcare, and community development.

ABOUT PROF. TAI GRILLO

Thomas Adesanya Ige Grillo was the first professor of Anatomy in Nigeria. He was a Consultant Pathologist at Ife University Teaching Hospital (now OAUTHC) and the foundation dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences in 1972.

Professor TAI Grillo was a Consultant for the World Health Organization from 1973 to 1986. He was a member of several prestigious associations, including:
1. Fellow Science Association Nigeria.
2. Nigerian Academy of Sciences
3. Member Royal College Surgeons
4. Royal College Physicians Belland
5. Anatomical Society Brittany & Ireland 6. Endocrinology Society Nigeria

The Professor TAI Grillo Memorial Lecture, an annual event of the OAU College of Health Sciences, is held in his honour.
