Behaviour is a form of communication.
Every child communicates in their own unique way.
In this role play, we respectfully demonstrate how a child may reach for or grab an item when they are unable to express themselves.
With gentle guidance, prompts like “safe hands” can guide children towards more appropriate ways of interacting, while we continue to build their communication skills.
Our goal is always to teach with patience, promote understanding and support inclusion.
