FINAL YEAR PROJECT

(i) Registration of Project & Choosing of Supervisors:
All final year students are requested to register for project with their Heads of Departments on presentation of evidence of complete semester fees or at least 50% of the fees. During the registration process, project students are to choose their supervisors. The project registration commences on resumption date, Monday, 28th March 2022 and ends on Friday, 22nd April 2022. Thereafter, late registration of project attracts a penalty of N3, 500 as contained in the academic calendar.

(ii) Selection of project topics:
Each project student is required to select three project topics and write them down in order of preference. The list of the proposed topics should be presented to their supervisors for recommendation.

(iii) Approval of project topics:
Each project student is required to submit the list of recommended topics to their respective Heads of Departments for approval. The receipt of payment for the approved fees or at least 50% of the fees should be attached to the list. The Head of Department is expected to forward the approved topics in their respective students’ files to the Rector’s office for vetting before publishing same.

(iv) Project Defence:
The project defence is scheduled as follows:
Date: Friday, 15th July 2022
Time: 9.00 am

The conditions for project defence are:
(a) Evidence of complete semester fees, project fees and Late Registration fees where applicable;
(b) Cash payment of five thousand naira (N5,000) at the Bursary for Logistics;
(c) Submission of two spiral bound copies of project duly signed by the supervisor.

ONLINE PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES

With effect from Monday, 30th August 2021, all students should pay all approved school fees through the school portal.

Procedures for online payment:
(i) Log on to the school portal: https://efacility.fpolyportal.com.ng . Use Registration Number as username and password. You may change your password thereafter if you desire;
(ii) Update personal data;
(iii) Pay outstanding fees (if any);
(iv) Pay current semester fees in part or full;
(v) On payment of complete semester fees, print payment receipt and semester Course Registration Form;
(vi) Submit payment receipt to the Bursary Department for signing and stamping;
(vii) Submit 3 copies of Course Registration Form to the Registrar’s office for signing and stamping.

All students are hereby informed that the period for normal registration is as follows:

Year 1:
From the resumption date, Monday, 26th April 2021 to Friday, 14th May 2021

All students, are expected to pay complete school fees and do course registration on or before the closing date. After the closing date, students will be required to pay late registration fees of additional N3,000 only.

APPOINTMENT OF NEW RECTOR AND REGISTRAR

The Governing Council of Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Ekpene has approved the appointment of Engr (Dr) Peter Michael Enyong as the Rector and Mr Bassey Archibong Udoh as the Registrar of the institution. The new appointments take immediate effect.

The new Rector, Engr (Dr) Peter Michael Enyong takes over from Engr Victor Okon Bassey. Engr (Dr) Peter Michael Enyong was a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Electrical/Electronic Engineering of the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State. He obtained B.Eng. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1982. He later obtained M.Eng. and Ph.D in Electrical Power & Machines from the University of Benin in 2008 and 2015 respectively. He has over 30 scholarly publications in local and international journals.

The new Registrar, Mr Bassey Archibong Udoh takes over from Mr Akerete Anthony Udotim. Mr Bassey Archibong Udoh had worked in Topfaith International Secondary School, Mkpatak before joining the services of Foundation Polytechnic in 2020. He obtained B. Sc. Accounting from the University of Ado-Ekiti in 2004. He later obtained LLB Law from National Open University in 2016.

The Governing council appreciates the outgoing Rector and Registrar whose tenure has ended and wish them well in their future endeavours.

Meanwhile, the new appointees are expected to live above board in moving the Polytechnic forward.
