NTA UYO 2025 CHILDREN SUMMIT: RENEWABLE ENERGY. CRITICAL NEED FOR INDUSTRIALIZATION AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT.

Today, the students of Ritman College, Ikot Ekpene, proudly participated in the 2025 Children’s Summit hosted by the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Uyo.

The summit’s theme, "Renewable Energy: Critical Need For Industrialization And Sustainable Development," allowed our students to engage with peers and experts on the vital role renewable energy plays in powering Nigeria’s future. This gathering emphasized not only the environmental benefits but also how renewable energy supports industrial growth and sustainable development goals.

Our students contributed thoughtfully to discussions, showcasing the knowledge and critical thinking skills nurtured at Ritman College. By taking part in this prestigious event, they represented our school’s commitment to creating informed, socially responsible young leaders who are prepared to address real-world challenges.

This experience enriches their academic journey beyond the classroom, broadening their perspectives and inspiring them to be active contributors to national development. RITMAN COLLEGE INTER-CLASS FOOTBALL CLASH: SS2 VS SS3 TEAM

Today at Ritman College, we hosted an exciting football friendly competition between SS2 and SS3 students, fostering physical exercise and the spirit of sportsmanship.

At Ritman College, education goes beyond the classroom. We believe in nurturing well-rounded individuals through extracurricular activities like sports, debates, quizzes, and community engagements.

This match reflects our commitment to providing a holistic learning environment where students develop not just intellectually but physically and socially as well. We take pride in fostering a vibrant campus life that supports both mind and body.

The football friendly match between SS2 and SS3 students ended with a 3-0 victory in favor of SS3. This win will inspire SS3 to maintain their momentum while encouraging SS2 to come back stronger in future competitions.

THE BEAUTY OF SCIENCE: LABORATORY PRACTICAL SESSIONS.

Today, our students brought science to life through an exciting biology practical session. From observing specimens under microscopes to hands-on experiments, they explored the fascinating world of living organisms and sharpened their scientific skills. These practical lessons help bridge the gap between theory and real-world biology.

Face of the Week: Ukanwoke, Ugochi Chinedum.

Every week, we celebrate one remarkable student who shines through their positivity, hard work, and spirit. This week’s Face of the Week is a true example of dedication and excellence, a student who inspires peers and makes a positive impact within our community.

This week, we celebrate Ukanwoke Ugochi Chinedum, an SS2 student. Born on 05/04/2011 and hailing from Abia State, Ugochi is a bright student with big dreams. Her future aspiration is to become a world-renowned neurosurgeon, an ambition fueled by her dedication and passion.

Ugochi lives by her favorite quote: “The first test of a truly great man is his humility” by John Ruskin. She enjoys tennis, reading, and soccer in her free time. A big fan of William Shakespeare, her favorite book is Othello, and she draws inspiration from her role model, Mr. Obi Nwabara (her uncle).

At Ritman College, we believe in recognizing not just academic success but also kindness, leadership, and the willingness to go the extra mile. Congratulations to this week’s star!

Today marked an Orientation service for both New and Continuing students of Ritman College for the 2025/2026 session. The event focused on welcoming new students and bringing all students up to speed about school activities and expectations.

Present at the orientation were the Chairman and Founder, Ritman Group of Schools, Senator Emmanuel Ibokessien FNSE; the General Manager of Ritman Group of Companies, Sir Damian Umofia; Vice Principals of the school as well as staff and students across the school.

In his address, the Chairman BOG encouraged the students to work hard in their studies. He shared inspiring stories from his own secondary school days to motivate them to make the most of the opportunity before them. Senator Essien also urged all students to fully utilize the state-of-the-art facilities provided by the school to enhance their learning experience.

This orientation was a great way to build camaraderie, set goals, and ensure everyone is ready for a successful academic year at Ritman College.
