To Insurers and Risk Managers, there are risks known as financial risks which can be quantified monetarily e.g. the risk of theft, fire e.t.c and there are some risks which even the best financial analyst of the world cannot appropriate an exact amount of money to their worth, these are the non-financial risks e.g. choice of a car, wife or impact of recognition and celebration on the life of a child.

When a child is identified, recognized and celebrated for who he/she is and what he/she is capable of doing, it goes a long way to boost the morale of the child.

Likewise, the child grows and develops well. He will be mentally alert and ready for future tasks and responsibilities.

Further, such a child always listen to their parents' guides and instructions. They do as guided by the parents.

More surprisingly, a child who is recognized, praised and celebrated seems more fulfilled. Such a child trust his/her parents more. He/she is more transparent and discusses almost everything about him/her with the parents including friends' attitudes and ways of life.

In view of the above and season of celebrations of the Children's Day, it is imperative that we celebrate our children always to encourage them, build their trust and confidence in us.

We pray to God to guide and protect our children from every form of seen and unseen evils of this world.

At Meriforth College, we celebrate all the children of the world this season.
