JESUS IS COMING BACK AGAIN! HALLELUJAH!

In Saint John 1:1-3, the holy scriptures unveiled Jesus that "In the beginning the Word was, and the Word was with God, and the Word was a god. This one was in the beginning with God. All things came into existence through Him, and apart from Him not even one thing came into existence."

Jesus is God Himself who translated into human form in order to live a life semblance to man so He could die for the iniquities of man and thus set the mortals free from the clutches of Satan and eternal damnation.

In Saint John 14:1-3, Jesus was heard telling His disciples and followers saying, "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Exercise faith in God, exercise faith also in me. In the house of my Father there are many abodes. Otherwise, I would have told you, because I am going my way to prepare a place for you. Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for you, I am coming again and will receive you home to myself, that where I am you also may be."

In the Acts of Apostles, the scriptures recorded in chapter 1 verses 9 to 11 that "And after He had said these things, while they were looking on, He was lifted up and a cloud caught Him up from their vision. And as they were gazing into the sky while He was on His way, also, look! two men in white garments stood alongside them, and they said: "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was received up from you into the sky will come thus in the same manner as you have beheld Him going into the sky."

An old Scripture Union chorus says,

He is coming back again 2x
Oh glory, Hallelujah!
He is coming back again 3x
Oh glory, Hallelujah!
He is coming back again.

Without mincing words, the Lord will come back again!

The question now is what purpose will His coming back achieve? Revelation 22:12 shed light on the aims of the second coming. The scriptures say, "Look! I am coming quickly, and the reward I give is with me, to render to each one as his work is."

At the tomb of Lazarus in Saint John 11:25-26, "Jesus said: "I am the resurrection and the life. He that exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life and everyone that is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all."

Saint John 3:16 says, "For God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in Him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life."

Verse 18 of John chapter 3 says, "He that exercises faith in Him is not to be judged. He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Verse 36 of John chapter 3 says, "He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God remains upon him."

From the above, everyone who accepts Jesus as his or her Lord and Saviour has the reward of eternal life and such souls shall reign with Him in His Kingdom according to the Book of Revelation 20:6.

The souls of the people who did not exercise faith in Jesus Christ were not found in the Book of Life and were hurled into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:15.

This is the word of God and everyone reading this piece is encouraged to accept Jesus and exercise faith in Him. Shalom!

THE HOLY MONTH

Either the Islamic or the christian Holy Month, the Ramadan and the Lenten Season are holy months when mortals are taught to live holy lives and assist the less privileged in the society.

As God had it, both moments occurred simultaneously in 2026. In fact, the two fasting festivals commenced on the same day which was Wednesday, 18 February 2026.

God must be teaching another lesson here that all seasons are His and that He, God, is interested every time in all human affairs.

Everybody must therefore reflect on God's love for humanity so we could also live peacefully and peaceably with ourselves. This, in turn, would usher into the world peace.

May God Almighty give us peace in our time and in our world. Amen.

Happy Lenten Season and Easter festivities to the christian folds and Ramadan Kareem to the Islamic congregations.

Be Led by God's Spirit

The scriptures in Romans 8:14 says, "For all who are led by God's Spirit, these are God's sons."

In 2 Samuel 2:1, the Bible recounted the culture of the brains of David. The culture of an object is the manner in which it was designed to function and/or respond to a stimulus.

An Amalekite had visited David the previous day reporting incidents at the battle between Israel and Philistines.

He reported the conquest of Israel, the death of King Saul, his children and many soldiers of Israel.

Upon admitting these bad reports, David showed the culture of his brain when he consulted God for direction.

God directed David to proceed to Hebron (formerly Kiriath-Arba) where he would be appropriately decorated as successor to Saul.

Another person could have jumped up and announced his ascension to the vacant stool or led a group of soldiers to kill and maim in a forceful take over of government.

David has, by this action, shown that he was one of God's sons being led by the spirit of God.

A lesson can be deducted from this incident which is committing one's life, ambitions and endeavours to God's holy hands.

Psalm 37:5 says, "Roll upon Jehovah your way, and rely upon Him, and He himself will act."

I encourage you, brethren, to commit your life, ambitions and endeavours to God's holy hands for divine direction and consequent successes.

"For all who are led by God's Spirit, these are God's sons".

May Jehovah help your decision in Christ our Lord. Amen.

SIN DESTROYS

Every iniquity of man is sin. Galatians 5:19-21 says, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, division, sects, envies, drunkenness, revelries, and things like these."

Verse 21 concluded that "those who practice such things will not inherit God's kingdom."

It is therefore sure then that sin destroys. Please run quickly away from sin.

In Saint John 5:1-9, the Bible accounted for a man who was unwell for thirty-eight years but received a divine healing.

Everybody around him must have been tired of his situation. Diagnostics, lab tests, medical examinations, and clinical interventions could not identify what was wrong with his body.

So, his family and relations heeded the pastor's advice to seek divine assistancehence he was taken to The Bethesda Pool.

The Pool had healed many sick people but due to his weak limbs, he could not obtain healing until Jesus visited him.

In verse 14, the scriptures said, "After these things, Jesus found him in the temple and said to him: "See, you have become sound in health. Do not sin any more, in order that something worse does not happen to you".

No wonder the medical profession could not help him; no wonder the healing pool failed him! His sickness was not ordinary but a result of sin.

Just as the Lord warned him, He is also warning us in this generation. We must avoid sin so greater harm and calamity do not befall us.

1 John 3:8 confirmed that "He who carries on sin originates with the devil because the devil has been sinning from the beginning."

By the manifestation of Jesus Christ and the work of salvation, 1 John 3:8 records that "For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, namely, to break up the works of the devil."

God has played His part by liberating mankind from sin through the previous blood that Christ shed on the cross.

You owe the obligation to accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, if you must be free totally from the grips of the devil.

May God help your decision and determination in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

PROPHESY VERSUS PERMUTATION

Shortly before the commencement of the just concluded African Cup of Nations, 2025 AFCON, held in Morocco, many persons had views, opinions, permutations and grudges to grind within the footballing circle.

A prophet in Nigeria went on the social media and relayed what was said to be a "prophesy" that the inclusion of some players in the Super Eagles of Nigeria would spell doom and court the wrath of God.

The affected players were Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen. Only he can tell his misgivings for the duo.

Liberal minds were quick to rubbish the purported "prophesy" and as we had it, the two athletes added great value to the team's success. They played well, scored goals, supported team mates and won laurels.

The burning issue is to examine if this was a prophesy or an expression of hate or a mere permutation?

From the scriptures, when prophets of God spoke, such issues came to pass. Prophets Isaiah, Nahum, Mika, Daniel, Jeremiah, and Zechariah gave words of God about Jesus, they materialized.

Why did we not see the manifestation of the "prophesy" under scrutiny? Was it not of God or what went wrong?

There is no intention to ridicule His Eminence but to beam a searchlight on goings-on in our generation when God did not support "thus saith the Lord".

In the recent past, so many prophesies emanated from the pulpits but came to nought.

We need to encourage the clergy to walk and work well with God to be genuine intermediaries between God and man.

Nevertheless, hearty congratulations to the Super Eagles of Nigeria for showing their stuff and winning the Bronze at the summit. Nigerians are happy and proud for the performance.

To cap it all, FIFA, the world football governing body has acknowledged the team and elevated it by 12 steps from the erstwhile ranking of 38 to the new 26 globally and third best team on the African continent. Congratulations 💐 Nigeria.

RECOVER YOUR GLORY

There is no gainsaying that God has covered each person with glory at creation. Gen 1:31 says, "After that God saw everything He had made and, look! it was very good."

The Book of Psalms recorded in Psalm 139:14 that "I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, as my soul is very well aware."

At creation, the Bible recorded in Gen 1:26 that "And God went on to say: let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heaven ...."

In another dimension, Gen 1:28 recorded that "God blessed them and said to them: "Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and gave dominion over all creatures."

These were the direct results of God's unending love for mankind.

This affection angered satan and he pushed man into sin knowing fully well that God abhors sin.

Immediately Adam and Eve committed the sin of disbelief and rebellion against God, the veil of glory that covered man was removed and they died while living (spiritual death).

1 John 3:8 says, "He who carries on sin originates with the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning."

"For this purpose the Son of God was made manifest, namely, to break up the works of the devil."

Jesus was manifested, lived with men, healed our ailments, shared our sorrows and died on the cross for the remission of our iniquities. Isaiah 53: 4-5.

Saint John 19:30 says that "when, now, He had received the sour wine, Jesus said: "It has been accomplished".

Saint Matthew 28:18 says, "And Jesus approached and spoke to them, saying: "All authority has been given me in heaven and on earth.". Glory be God!

Christ has, by the blood that He shed on the cross, redeemed and emancipated us from the grips of sins.

Christ Apostolic Church Gospel Hymnal 292 stanza 3 says,

"Sin can no longer prevail over us;
No matter how much it tries,
Because the redemption by Jesus Christ Has destroyed utterly the powers of sin."

Saint John 12:40 recapped a prophesy of Prophet Isaiah saying, "He has blinded their eyes and He has made their hearts hard, that they should not see with their eyes and get the thought with their hearts and turn around and I should heal them."

Everything has been done and nothing more to do. Brother and sister, the ball is in your court to flee sin and be restored so you could reclaim your lost glory.

Don't be blind to the true words of God so you could be healed of all infirmities and sins. Jesus has liberated you! Please liberate yourself by living a holy life.

No more lying, fornicating, adultery, cheating, back bitting, drunkenness, smoking the w**d, pools betting, ritual killings, hatred for fellow human beings and so forth.

May God help your determination and write your name in the Book of Life. Amen.

DO YOU KNOW?

Everything about Christmas revolves around Jesus Christ.

God gave Jesus to mankind out of love to achieve the following:

A. Satan had thrown spanners in the works in
order to corrupt the communion between
God and man by bringing sin into man's
heart, a ploy to raise divine anger of God.
Genesis 3:1-11

However, the plan failed! It only provoked
God to love man the more. Our nakedness
was covered (Gen 3:21) and the doctrine of
Messiah was invoked to defeat satan and
his hosts.

B. Jesus subdued the power of sin through the
blood that He shed on the cross at Calvary.
A hymn of Christ Apostolic Church (Gospel
Hymnal 292) records that "sins can no
longer prevail over us no matter how much
they tempted us because Jesus Christ has
atoned for our sins thereby destroying the
potent power of sins".

C. The Book of Prophet Isaiah chapter 53:3-4
foretold the hardships that Messiah would
encounter, yet, His victory is eternally
assured.

D. Prophet Isaiah chapter 53:5 foretold that
"He was being pierced for our trans-
gression, He was being crushed for our
errors."

"The chastisement meant for our peace
was upon Him and because of His wounds
there has been a healing for us."

E. The second coming of Christ was foretold
by Jesus Himself in Saint John 14:1-3 which
read, "Do not let your hearts be troubled.
Exercise faith in God, exercise faith also in
me."

"In the house of my Father there are many
abodes. Otherwise, I would have told you,
because I am going my way to prepare a
place for you."

"Also, if I go my way and prepare a place for
you, I am coming again and will receive you
home to myself, that where I am you also
may be."

F. The angels of God confirmed Christ second
coming in Acts 1:10-11 where we read that
"and as they were gazing into the sky while
He was on His way, also, look! two men in
white garments stood alongside them,"

"And they said: "Men of Galilee, why do you
stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who
was received up from you into the sky will
come thus in the same manner as you have
beheld Him going into the sky."

Summary

Believers are encouraged to remain steadfast in God and His injunctions. They must watch out every time so they are rapturable because "whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was hurled into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

Thank Jehovah for the successful hosting of 2025 Christmas celebrations. May it please Him to grant us many more of such great opportunities. Amen.

Folks, Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year.

NARRATIVES AROUND CHRISTMAS

The holy scriptures recorded that "God saw everything He had made and look it was very good". Genesis 1:31

Whereas in Genesis 1:26, God had said, "Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth".

Satan and his angels were angered by the extreme love bestowed on man by God. Hence, a plan was made to break the communion by introducing sin of rebellion and disobedience to man. Genesis 3:1-11.

God rekindled His unflinching love for man by covering the nakedness which sin imposed on man when He clothed them with love and restitution. Gen 3:21.

In Gen 3:15, God promising to send a Saviour who shall deliver mankind from every satanic influence.

As time went on, the promised Messiah was showed to a number of prophets just to throw more light on His purpose, personality, mission, ministry, death, resurrection and life in eternity.

Isaiah 9:6 wrote that "for there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; and the princely rule will come to be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace."

Prophet Micah wrote in chapter 5:2-3 that "and you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, the one too little to get to be among the thousands of Judah, from you there will come out to me the one who is to become ruler in Israel, whose origin is from early times, from the days of time indefinite."

"Therefore He will give them up until the time that she who is giving birth actually gives birth."

Micha 5:4 wrote, "And He will certainly stand and do shepherding in the strength of Jehovah, in the superiority of the name of Jehovah His God."

Prophet Isaiah write in chapter 53:3-4 that "He was despised and was avoided by men, a man meant for pains and for having acquaintance with sickness. And there was as if the concealing of one's face from us. He was despised and we held Him as of no account."

"Truly our sicknesses were what He Himself carried; and as for our pains, He bored them but we ourselves accounted Him as plagued, stricken by God and afflicted."

These prophesies were made over seven hundred years prior to the arrival of the Messiah.

By divine structures, Jesus manifested about two thousand years ago and lived with us in flesh for thirty-three and a half years.

He fulfilled the purpose for which He came by preaching the gospel, healing the sick, raising the dead, subduing satan and powers of sin and showing man the way to God in eternity.

Emperor Constantine, in his personal encounter with immortal God, deemed it fit and proper and decreed for the world to celebrate the birth and works of Jesus Christ every December 25.

Jesus is not just a prophet, a servant of God, a messenger, a righteous person or a religious leader but God personified.

Merry Christmas 🎄 🌲 and a prosperous new year.

"Joy to the world for the Lord is come".
