"Whoever seeks knowledge for the sake of Allah the Exalted, Allah will turn His face toward him and the faces of the servants will turn toward him.
And whoever seeks knowledge for other than the sake of Allah, Allah will turn His face away from him and the faces of the servants away from him."

This is a powerful reminder about *intention in seeking knowledge*.
If your goal is Allah’s pleasure, Allah will grant you acceptance and people will respect you.
But if your goal is fame, status, or worldly gain, then Allah and people will turn away from you.
It's often attributed to the scholars when discussing sincerity in knowledge.
