🔹2025/2026 MATRICULATION OF NEWLY ADMITTED STUDENTS.🔹

It hereby reemphasised that the 2025/2026 matriculation of newly admitted students into LASUSTECH will hold at 10:00am on Monday, December 8, 2025.

In line with the directive of JAMB:
1. the University has notified and invited the admission body to the event;

2. The University is to forward list of matriculating students (with their matriculation numbers) before the matriculation day;

Consequent upon the above, all newly admitted students are hereby informed as follows:

🔷 All outstanding freshers who are yet to complete their registration should proceed to do so on or before the close of work on Monday 1st December, 2025 to enable them pay all prescribed fees and be eligible for allocation of matriculation numbers;

🔷 Non payment of all prescribed fees on or before Wednesday, 3rd December, 2025 by any fresher is tantamount to forfeiture of his or her admission.

🔷 For emphasis, only freshers who have been duly registered and have fully paid their fees on or before Wednesday 3rd December, 2025 will be allotted matriculation numbers for presentation of their names to Jamb and only such students will participate in the matriculation ceremony as scheduled to continue their studentship of the University;

🔷 Duly registered freshers who have also paid their fees in full should liaise with their respective college officers from Tuesday December 2nd 2025 for matters relating to their matriculation attires and other necessary information.

🔷 No appeal will be entertained by the university from any fresher who is unable to comply with the above instructions.

NUC Accreditation Update – College of Engineering

The College of Engineering has officially commenced the NUC Accreditation Exercise for October. Each department begins the process with a courtesy visit to the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olumuyiwa Odusanya, and other members of university management.

The exercise kicked off with the Department of Agriculture and Bio-Systems Engineering, followed by Urban and Regional Planning, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering.

Also present during the sessions were the Deans of all colleges, Heads of Departments and members of staff from the concerned departments, the Directorate of Academic Planning, the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, and representatives from the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.

The accreditation will continue throughout the month, reaffirming our commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance.

🔹WAEC 2026🔹

🔹Summary of the Meeting between School Representatives and WAEC held on 30th August 2025🔹

1. The 2026 WASSCE will be fully computer-based, with no paper-based option.

2. All students will be registered in their respective schools, but WAEC will assign them to designated examination centers.

3. Schools willing to serve as WAEC/CBT centers should notify WAEC as soon as possible.

4. WAEC is particularly seeking more schools in the Lekki/Ajah/Epe axis to indicate interest, as these will be prioritized before additional schools are considered.

5. Objective examinations will be entirely computer-based, with three papers scheduled to be written in a single day.

6. Essay/Theory examinations will be conducted in school halls and projected for students. No question papers will be distributed; only answer scripts will be provided.

7. Practical examinations will be center-based, and supervising teachers must be IT-compliant. Such teachers may or may not be from the host examination center.

8. Practical materials are to be provided by the schools whose candidates are assigned to write at a given center.

9. Schools are not mandated to purchase computers specifically for this purpose. Examinations will hold for all candidates regardless of a school’s readiness.

10. Schools approved as examination centers will be paid by WAEC, even if their own candidates also benefit.

11. A minimum of 50 functional computers is required for a school to be considered as a CBT center, provided it can also accommodate candidates from other schools.
