2026 JAMB (UNIFIED TERTIARY MATRICULATION EXAMINATION) KICK START TODAY ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Nearly two million candidates are expected to participate in the examination which will be conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in over 900 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide.
JAMB had conducted mock UTME a few weeks ago for 227,896 candidates nationwide as part of measures to assess their readiness for the UTME.
Its Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, has repeatedly confirmed that all was set for the examination, promising candidates a world-class experience using the best manpower and technology.
He disclosed that the Board has procured and deployed sophisticated tech equipment across the country to monitor the exercise.
Meanwhile, in a statement on Wednesday, JAMB informed candidates of some changes in its timing for the examinations particularly for those participating in the first session, thus asking that they get themselves acquainted with the changes so they can make adequate preparation.
Similarly, JAMB’s Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, in an earlier statement, asked the candidates to always refer to their notification slip which contains vital information regarding their examination details particularly examination date, venue, and time.
He suggested that candidates print their slips early enough and familiarise themselves with their examination centres ahead of the examination date, to avoid any form of inconvenience.
“Each candidate has been assigned a specific schedule on the notification slip which enables the candidate to arrive at the examination centre early enough to allow for proper screening and accreditation before the commencement of the examination,” he said.
Dr. Fabian further reiterated that this year’s examination features enhanced security measures designed to curb all forms of malpractice, hence all candidates and Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres owners are therefore warned to desist from any form of misconduct, as strict sanctions will be applied.

Ideas gather.
Thoughts find rhythm.
Concepts settle into pattern.
Pattern becomes design; design becomes the places we return to,
the walls that shelter us,
the rooms where we work,
the spaces where we gather.
This is the architect’s lens: making the invisible visible, one drawing at a time.
And this is the duty, to shape not just buildings, but living.
The 2nd Inaugural Lecture of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) presents Professor Ayodeji Dare-Abel, Professor of Architecture and Building Information Modelling.
Topic: Vision, Patterns and Expression:
Trajectory to Environmental Sustainability
