The College provides up-to-date natural medicine education for beginners and professionals. efore the inception of the predominant medicine of the day, there had existed different systems of ensuring health. The art of healing through natural means is one such system. Many do not understand the nitty-gritty of how the science of nature works, so it&aps;s assumed to be unscientific. Whereas, the science of nature is a superior science with its defining principles and modalities. Natural Medicine is the field of medicine that teaches the principles and modalities that help us understand and harness the healing power of nature. There are specially trained physicians who employ nature&aps;s principles towards alleviating, correcting, and managing health challenges. Different levels of success have been achieved with natural medicine against chronic diseases in aspects where conventional medicine hasn&aps;t been successful. These days, a large number of individuals request natural medicine therapies as a complementary form of healing, while some prefer it as an alternative to conventional medicine. But, there are only a limited number of well-trained physicians in the field of natural medicine and even fewer numbers of accredited schools for natural medicine training. At OICNM, we are determined to bridge the gap. African Traditional Medicine remains an important part of Africa’s healthcare heritage and continues to evolve through research, innovation and responsible practice.

Olive International College of Natural Medicine is pleased to be part of the conversation as the Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board celebrates African Traditional Medicine Day.

This year’s theme, “Reflection on Research and Development Efforts of Traditional Medicines Towards Achieving Universal Health Coverage in African Region,” highlights the importance of research, development and evidence-based practices in advancing traditional medicine.

As an institution committed to the study and advancement of Natural Medicine, we recognise the importance of building a future where traditional knowledge, research and responsible healthcare practices can work together.

One of our Year 3 Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine students @ recently made a clinical observership in the United Kingdom with an experienced Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, gaining valuable exposure to holistic and patient-centred care.

Our clinical sessions are a deliberate extension of our academic mission, taking our students beyond the classroom and into real lives. It is a direct expression of our institutional mission: to produce competent, community-centred natural medicine practitioners who are equipped to serve humanity with skill, integrity, and care.

During these sessions, students work under the supervision of qualified practitioners to assess, consult, and provide natural medicine interventions to individuals within their own living environments.

This is not just clinical training. This is OICNM living its name and purpose out loud.
